If you have Final Cut from Mimaki in Illustrator...thats not all that difficult. Need to know illustrator quite well. We used that with a FX160 for years.

Hate to say it Dan, but like everyone else...Adobe being the biggest culprit, Caldera has moved towards a subscription in a way. You have to purchase V13 through a vendor or directly if they do that. In upgrading our Mac software as well, we realized ahead of time that 13 was the way to go...

Glantz or Grimco...both top notch outfits IMO. Just had one client jerking us around saying they didn't get the H stakes I had drop shipped. Grimco driver took pics of where they were left just in case. ;)

We've done this quite often and it keeps the shipping costs down esp. when doing larger orders like bannertime is talking about. Many times, its not via UPS but my vendors own trucks if they are within range of the branches. Its a win win for us and client alike.

How many units are you talking? do they need to go out pre assembled? if not....have them drop shipped from your vendor to your client & ship the signs separately. Our vendor for those ships free 99% of the time and we only have to then ship the imprints themselves. Saves you and the client...

Something with a laminate. GF or 3m. Look forward to having to redo it once in a while I would imagine. Stay away from walk and wall or similar one step substrates...those would wear out quickly.

A lot of donor walls of that sort are done on acrylic sheets with standoffs. back print and mount to the walls.

Look into Arlon brand. I believe they have some vinyls that will work well against low to non voc paints. I'm not 100% on that but my local Glantz guy was trying to sell me on them with that benefit.

Not a lot of experience with that material and feedback on installed jobs. We use other material for low tac that has air egress. We have used similar from GF with mixed results as far as shrinkage. I personally think 6mil is more stable overall but I could be wrong. Their print media is hit...
