Matte I also prefer matte for vinyl. We use IJ35 matte for our intermediate. On both of our printers we've always had better success printing on matte medias than gloss.

Jetflex If I could only have one banner material it would be Jetflex 13oz. matte.

Use the 680cr. Put primer94 in the "groove."

3M 680. Nothing else. 1/4" has a nasty habit of not holding up well.

These are the obvious ?'s that no one else has asked yet so I will throw them out there: -How long did the print out-gas prior to lamination, assuming it was laminated. -Was it print and cut, or a full wrap? -Any chance the car was freshly painted or had some other contaminate on it that did...

I don't think that I have that "exact" error, but when cutting form Illustrator to our Graphtec occasionally it just flat refuses to work. If I am lucky a re-boot and also unhooking the plotter (ours is USB connected) and hooking it back up after a few minutes has worked.

Had this problem on Friday. We are running X10. With that said I have been happy with the upgrade from 7. Just wanted to let you know that X10 will not fix that specific issue. Very frustrating problem...

You should really talk to an insurance agent that handles business insurance. I am not an expert on it, which is what you need the agent for. Get three quotes and you will see that they will vary greatly in content and cost. I hate, (as I'm sure others will agree...) what it costs to insure...

Ditto on billing per hour. Most customers will be shocked at this if you have not told them this before. I'm sure I've lost work before by doing this but we learned the hard way. By the hour only.

That actually just made me sick to my stomach. Getting asked to produce that type of "color" is usually a red flag for me. Double ditto what Gino said... have them give you something in your hands that came out of their hands so you know what they are expecting.

We have Mac and PC in our shop. I wish it was an all PC shop but 2 of my guys are big on Macs and out of respect for them they have Macs. I think they both have their place. Once again, I was impressed at some of the posts in this thread...

If you have made your living cutting vinyl, like I once did... the world of digital printing is a different beast. I think life was actually easier and more profitable when we didn't all have printers. That being said, we have an EPSON GS6000 and a graphtec fc130. This is our 3rd wide format...

With or without design? Print, Wrap or Design, Print, Wrap I actually believe there are more factors than that involved in the pricing of it, but I think most would agree those are the basics. I am far from an expert on this whole wrap thing. I know enough to be dangerous.

Try printing with the heat off, and once with the heat way up. Make note of the difference.
