  1. Backlit outdoor printed vinyl Orajet 3850

I totally would have bet $1000 that it was premium. Glad I didn't! That crap is NOT cheap if it is soft calandered. B@stards. don't sue a ton of it, but that means I always have at least (1) 60" roll on the floor.
  2. HP Latex vs JV33??

The ss2 inks we used on our jv3 were "mild" when it came to odor. We used Triangle Full solvent the last year we had it and those definitely had to be vented, and not just using the "fan" on the machine to push the fumes out. We had to add unit to increase airflow. Someone on here has to be...
  3. HP Latex vs JV33??

I have a secret dream (not secret anymore) that EPSON has a printer in the works that you can put a roll of media in and actually leave the shop and come back in the morning and be 94% confident that it printed as it should have. I do not let the EPSON GS6000 run very long at all without some...
  4. Impala Wrap in Detail.

Thread shift... I have 3 dogs that come to work with me approx. 4 days a week. They ea. have a crate in our "kitchen" as it would be pure freakin' chaos with them out all the time. Recently had to overhaul my laptop or I would post pics. We actually have customers come in who insist on...
  5. HP Latex vs JV33??

Top 3 replacement options for your JV3, in my opinion and no order- -Mimaki jv33 -Epson GS600 -HP Latex L25500 If you search long enough you will find good and bad listed on all of these. Do you have a supplier that will give you a fair price on one of these and also stand behind it. If so...
  6. This is the road that goes to my house

    Holy freakin' crap.
  7. Backlit outdoor printed vinyl Orajet 3850

I'm pretty sue the 3850 a premium cast media. Use a premium laminate (in this case 290).
  8. 2 days of tech, printings and the such... still have problems

Battled with this for years. 720 4-pass was our go-to profile with our JV3 for this very reason (color shift on every 8th pass.) I see it on our EPSON even in 720 8pass. Not as often, but I do see it... and typically on 180cv3.
  9. Anyone have any Avery Light Briar Brown Metallic?

I may have 15 and 30", will have to check tomorrow at the shop.
  10. flexibility of translucent vinyl(oracal 8500)

Roll it with the vinyl out. Duct Tape and Wrap it well. There will be a lot of pressure on it, so be careful when opening it up.
  11. EPSON GS6000 profile

For those of you that are running an EPSON GS6000 do you have a print speed (for us it is 540x720 speed) that you tend to use more often than anything else. We build our own profiles with production house, and except for banner (720 4 pass) this seems to be the best all-around speed for overall...
  12. Big decision

I know a lot of people on here only have 54" printer/plotters. I would recommend getting a 60"ish printer and the same for the plotter. We have a 60" JV3 and the EPSON GS6000. We had a 48" Gerber Odyssey and have been using a graphtec 54" plotter for a couple years. Weekly I find myself in a...
  13. Tape

3M has a high-tack VHB that we use on concrete block to put up ADA signs. I don't remember which # it is. It sticks, and I mean sticks. A banner sounds temporary though. Might be hard to find a middle ground.... "want it to remove but want it to stay up..." Good Luck. Been there...
  14. Dog Lover's... can i ask your advice... pleeeease?

I have 3 dogs, and also like many of you own a business and know how hard it can be to keep everyone happy. Someone above mentioned a lawsuit? No offense, but this is not grounds for a lawsuit. Unfortunately attorneys are in business to collect money for their time so most would accept...
  15. try to identify material.

    Exactly
  16. SignVOX Webinar

Very interested. Will just come down to timing as to whether or not I am able to join in.
  17. printing on removable clear and after 80" completely tunnels!!

I have never seen anything like that. How the....? I bet even with all the heaters off it will still buckle. In general I find clear more difficult to print on. I have a roll of cheap, cheap, cheap matte intermediate from Grimco that channels badly. Not as bad as what you showed us, but...
  18. Double Sided Blockout Banner

Triple Ditto on all of this.
  19. Little wiggly thing....................

Upper lower case I tell people that all caps is for a no parking sign. If you want someone to be able to easily and efficiently read something it should be up/lc. Just my overworked and underpaid 2 cents.
