8508 and 8509 are junk laminates. No offense meant in any way. on IJ40 we use 8519 or 8518. On IJ35 we use a generic intermediate laminate.

Unless I am totally mistaken the 15oz. key blockout is a thin interior only banner material. Nothing like the Bantex 18oz. I use both. Have you tried Koma 16oz blockout from Fellers?

Could be the quality of the picture and not actually the test print, but your test print does not look good. I ponder the condition of your print heads.

One thing I have noticed is that the Koma 16oz. blockout comes off the roll hard. I've seen it affect media feed. I don't have a Latex printer, but thought I would throw that out there.

Do you make your own profiles, if not... that would be your first step. To get close. But ultimately I don't think you will be able to run them completely interchangeably. Forge is dealing with this now with (2) FB700's.

And unless I am mistaken... most of the sqft of what was installed had no ink on it. I would also like to know more about why JET BLUE is not suitable for IJ35. We use a lot of IJ35.

From my experience it will "flash" for days letting you know that ink is low. I've actually looked into adjusting it because I feel it gives us more time than necessary. I take it your GS6000 does not give you this kind if warning in advance? Did it empty the orange cartridge overnight....
