  1. Sign Motor - Old Sign Motor

It may just be a generic (for lack of a better term) electric motor. Look for a plate on it with the voltage, rpm etc. If it has a nameplate with the specs on it, Grainger is a good place to start.
  2. Got to thinking................................

I drove a coffee truck in Boston after high school to make enough to eventually go to college. Graduated with a degree in Turf Management and worked on golf courses, mostly under construction in one way or another, for the next 15 or so years. The work was great but the industry was not very...
  3. Mimaki vs HP

Do you own a latex machine?? If you did, you would have not made these false statements. Switched to latex years ago from eco solvent and have never been happier. The subject of latex vs solvent has been discussed many times in these forums, do a search.
  4. Nasty smell from printer

Had the same problem with Oracal PVC material in our latex printer. Some rolls smelled awful, others did not.

  7. Need Help Windows of screen

In my version of flexi, the tabs to open those are just under and to the right of the help tab at the top of the screen. I know you said they are open, but opening and closing them may make them visible again.

  10. Need Help REAL ESTATE Posts and stuff- WholeSale vendors

Different parts of the country use different types of posts/stakes for real estate signs. We use pressure treated 4x4 posts for our real estate signs. It is the only thing we do. Some people have good experiences with RE signs, others bad. I can't say it is all that bad since we have been doing...
  11. Need Help REAL ESTATE Posts and stuff- WholeSale vendors

Real estate signs is a pretty specific niche of the sign industry. There are 3 companies that have a majority of the RE sign making business. Lowen, Dee & Oakley signs. Take a look at their websites to see what they offer for sign related materials.
  12. My First Post

We have both flexi 7.xx & flexi 11. The only reason we went to 11 was because of the drivers included with version 11 for our new printer. In my opinion, if you are doing basic stuff, stick with the mac version for a while to see if it will work for you and does everything you need.

  14. Question Ultimate Printer for Real Estate Signs

As a company that has installed only real estate signs for the past 30+ years keeping 14 drivers busy in 3 states daily, I would say you both are right. The more established companies/offices usually recognize quality sign work costs $$ and have seen what cut rate work is like. Some purchase...
  15. About Subscription Software...

From someone still running flexi 8.? on an old xp computer dedicated to a vinyl cuter and not attached to the internet or the network. Why should I upgrade to the newest best-est version when the old one works fine? If I had a subscription based program, it would have cost us $$$$ for the years...
  16. Need Help Contour cut not completing at bottom...

I've seen it happen with flexi in other versions when the wrong driver for the cutter is installed.

HI All. I have a customer that likes the Coke red color. Has anyone used vinyl that is close to the Coke red color? As close as possible would be good. There is other text on the sign that has the coke logo. Thanks.
