That stuff sucks compared to others and its expensive! Had a client threaten my life when I brought it up to him lol. Maybe that's because he hated Lexjet also.
I have a client who is trying to dump his SO8600 because of the dry times vs. Latex. If you do decide on Epson, let me know and I will put you in touch with them if you wish.
Let me be the one to upgrade you! You should be able to pay off a 360 within a year, if they come out with a new one that has white ink, wait for it to have the bugs worked out then pick up that one. (2 years figure)
I have heard great things, and I have heard of horror stories with it. I would never do that application without cast on cast, why chince out on cheap material and risk your client getting pissed off over a few bucks.
I appreciate your feedback!! Yes, I think it is important to visualize applications, especially for the end user clients who simply do not know what is available.
He is correct, but companies like Grimco do SHADY business to win bids all the time and its impossible for HP to really police it in my opinion. That big of a difference though, you might go back to your first source and let him know so he can see what is going on. DON'T EVER BUY HP BRANDED...
Even the 300 and 500 series? That is kinda bizarre. Epson makes a great machine, but I don't see how it would blow a latex out of the water. I can still do more applications with Latex and I can do them faster than someone who runs solvent pretty easily because there is no out gas time. What are...
That is a horrible reason to not go with Latex! You want to spend thousands of dollars on print heads when you screw something up? I sell both FYI and I can tell you without a doubt that Latex is the right choice about 97% of the time.
