6 pass would do it.
but if you're doing 4pass, you have to make sure your feed calibration is right, so check on that.
If you show your banding photos, we might see something else.
Keith is 50 and feels like a horse... Hmm.
The Surecolors do stink. And I would not want to use them in a smaller area/shop. We put some venting outside, didn't help much.
I have had issues with my s40 where we get ink starvation... replace the ink cartridge and it's fine. So we think the system is operating marginally and the extra vaccum caused by the ink cartridge (for whatever reason) is causing the issues.
Small town 'murica gossip? If someone told you she embezzled millions, it must be true!
If you don't trust the person, I agree get full payment up front and do a good job. SignRex might think her money is cursed... but how can you be sure?
Common problem with spraypaint.. the solvent in the pain is eating your first layer of cured paint.
You have to do multiple coats in a shorter period of time... wait an hour or so and then put the second coat.
I like IJ40 for walls too. It's a bit lower tack though... so I ran into a few issues with poor wall surface. One project, the wall was super bumpy, so the vinyl didn't have much chance. The other problem wall had a paint that just didn't like vinyl, the adhesive barely could hold the vinyl on.
Got it, thanks.
One thing about printing on reflective you need it really nice and clean. If anyone touches it and you print over it, you have problems - oily fingerprints show in the image. I can see how printing on clear will help with this and allow you to mount onto any reflective you have...
Can I ask why you would do this?
So if you laminated, you have 3 layers?
I find there are cheap enough printable reflectives.. and they look great printed on (with solvent or latex - although I prefer solvent).
I may be angry, but not at you.
But can you let me know what a warranty gives you? When they failed for you - the one time in 6 years - what was offered to the signmaker? Free replacement modules from the same supplier?
Like you said earlier, just because it has a samsung chip doesn't mean it's a quality module. And a warranty doesn't mean much if the manufacturer claims to be going bankrupt.
And what would a warranty entail? For the millions of $$ you've sold.. what type of warranty is offered on those...
LEDs seldom fail... but when then fail, they fail big time. You would assume the sign maker did something wrong, used the wrong power supply (but power supplies are mostly current limiting now), or something else. But then you find out there are thousands of LEDs that are failing, all made...
