Yeah they are great looking signs! Sandblasting seems to have disappeared when it comes to signs, we used to do a lot of them back in the day.
It took me a full week of phonecalls and unanswered emails before I could even find anyone local that would blast a sign for us.
We recently had to re-quote a sandblasted cedar sign we did back in 2017..........previous price was $1785 (which was way too low to begin with) and I re-quoted it at around $4k.
Didn't get the job. Whoever wants to do it cheaper can have it.
Regarding your questions about inflation, I would...
I thought 8508 was always a calendared product??
Anyways, we exclusively use 8418G now for gloss laminate. It's going to cost more than 8508, but less than 8518.
Overkill on some products yes, but only stocking/using one gloss laminate has been working well for us and allows us to streamline...

How do you guys handle rush fees? Mostly referring to B2B sign shops.
Most of our customers are great and reasonable and give us lots of warning, especially for larger projects. But...
Agreed. You're trying to get the printer to do something that just isn't possible.
I'm assuming the beveled edges are a requirement from the client given the location, but can you talk them into chamfered edges instead?
If you had a sharp(er) edge / angle on the top at least, the ink would...
Not sure about what brand of basement/nephew software that is, but please for the love of god get rid of that apostrophe if you're fixing this art for them!
Sorry, couldn't help myself. I'm always amazed just how much of the population insists on having their cabin signs spelled incorrectly.
The drying time feature is nice, but if you're having to set it to an hour you might be better off sheet-cutting your job(s) so you can keep printing.
You'll need to use the print then cut feature which means printing registration marks and changing your settings to "cut only" when re-loading...
