  1. Air Quality By You

I'm thinking it will last all summer... There's a lot of fires spread out all over the place, ones in remote areas like the NW probably won't go out till they run out of fuel, or snow douses them this winter
  2. 20' Trailer wrap

Unless it was really bad, not seeing how just prep alone took 2 people 2 days. There's not a lot of rivets, everything except the nose is just flat panels, should have been a pretty straightforward job. I don't think you massively under-quoted it, weyandsign is about where I'd be thinking...
  3. Hiring contractors - who sets the hourly rate?

If he's experienced he should be handing you a flat price to wrap it to add to your quote, and if it's too much... No thanks. We sub out some wraps to a guy down the road who doesn't print if we can't fit em' in our schedule. Every one he gives us a firm flat price, and will even negotiate so...
  4. Mimaki UCJV 300-75 Moving from one location to another 150 miles.

Yeah, what he said ^^^ In addition to that I usually tape a styrofoam or foam block in front of the head too, so that if it happens to come unlocked it can't go sailing down the rail. Don't know if it can come loose on that model, but I know some can unlock pretty easy if they're bounced around...
  5. Air Quality By You

Smoke like this is as foreign to northern WI as a hurricane...
  6. Air Quality By You

Yesterday morning it was like walking through a campground when everyone has a fire going, haze in the air, smelled like smoke, even stung the eyes a bit. Even the deer around here are going crazy, hanging in peoples yards and open areas. Our crew was out in your neck of the woods last week...

  9. Vinyl failing on sheet metal

You ever do those Yeti's again, try flame treating them first. Still need aggressive vinyl, but it seems to help on some of the uber-problematic plastics.
  10. Bantex 10 oz Blackback Curl Free Replacement

Used to use a lot this product at a display company I used to be with for retractable banners. Has a grey back, satin anti-glare face.... https://bigsys.com/main/Store.php#!/BigSol%C2%AE-Satin-Textured-Roll-Up-Film/p/329189096/category=95614003
  11. Air Quality By You

Here in north central Wiso it's getting pretty thick the past couple days again, and air quality alerts are getting in the danger range. I get the feeling those fires won't be out till they get buried under snow next winter. Weather guy this morning said forecast was "smokey with a chance of...
  12. Vinyl failing on sheet metal

Two of our local customers do powder coating, they do smooth, fine to heavy textured, wrinkle & krinkle finishes, hammered finish... the possibilities are endless.
  13. Vinyl failing on sheet metal

She said it was smooth? That's textured, either powder coated, or has an architectural coating on it. You'll need a low energy high tack vinyl to stick to that, depending on what it's actually coated with.
  14. Help pricing 2 reflective decals

Just sent a couple small ones out the door similar to that for $97...
  15. Exterior Textured Wall Wrap Stucco

Technically it's a 7 year vinyl, but because it's intended purpose is on heavy textures, the expected lifespan goes down drastically. You can expect less less life expectancy from any vinyl on rough surfaces like stucco, brick, block, regardless of what it's rated for. That in a nutshell is what...
  16. Exterior Textured Wall Wrap Stucco

A good cast will work in most scenarios, if you want something specifically made for this, 3M IJ8624 is the stuff designed for use on heavy textures, stone, stucco, brick, block....
  17. Dust under laminate tips?

We don't have a flatbed laminator, but use sticky rollers like this for dust removal from just about everything, cleaning substrates before they get vinyl, even just cleaning table tops. They're reusable, we use the 12" wide, and just use scrap pieces of vinyl to clean the roller, peel backing...

  19. Roland vp540 repair

Ahhhh.... Didn't look it up to see if it was a 4 or 6 head. That would make it cheaper to fix, but if it's one with mainboard problems, and no IPC, it's hardly worth it then. My first Roland was an SC Pro-II, those were rock solid printers.
  20. Roland vp540 repair

Read closer, 4-5 grand... Not for just lines, but full ink system from cartridge to waste tank. A full set of DX4 heads, new pumps, lines, dampers, cap tops, wipers and misc. 6 heads alone would be over 3k, the rest a grand or so.
