The learning curve from Omega 4 to Omega 7 is very small. The layout and tools are identical with the real difference being added functionality. Gerber only sells the current version Omega 7 and to be honest Omega 7 ads some great features especially for cut only applications. For example Omega...
When exporting shapes from Omega that have a cut attribute on them the export option has a section to include cutter path shapes. If you don't want them turn the option off or turn off cuts in your design then export.
Bcrawf Please make sure you are logged in as an Administrator or have Admin rights. Close all open programs (Composer, plot and Gqmgr) Then find the Gerber Queue folder. Depending on what version of Omega you have it can be in different locations. What version of windows do you have and what...
Omega 2.6 was released 15 years ago and worked on Windows XP. Microsoft changed a lot of backend drivers and support files that Omega 2.6 and paper printers required. Newer paper printers are known to have issues with programs designed for windows xp due to the lack of legacy file support. Your...
Try printing on Gerber material and see if anything changes. I would also recommend that you clean the print head with the Gerber thermal cleaning cards before and after printing with Metalic gold. How old is the Gold foil? have you tried a new gold foil?
Omega 5 is not supported on Windows 10 and has known issues. If you upgraded your computer to Windows 10 I would highly recommend upgrading to Omega 7. https://www.gerbertechnology.com/sign-graphics/design/omega/
Do you only have this problem printing on convex?
Have you tried printing on other materials like Gerber 220 white or Gerber label stock?
Do you see the same fall out on 220?
Have you printed an 11.5x11.5 box with a 50% fill? what does that look like?
if you can see dark and light areas and not...

If you are using Internet Explorer the edge will go into update mode when you send the update file. The Edge should start receiving it and reboot when completed. Typically takes a few minutes. If the edge doesn't reboot something isn't working. Try connecting the edge directly to the PC no hub...
Looks like you posted this in several areas. The issue is the font you are using doesn't have lower case letters. Use caps or change the font selected.
P60952C is the DUart card - Comm between E-box and spindle controller & ATC if the machine has one
P60947C is the Uart card Comm between the PC and the E-box, this card is on backorder.
Please have ND graphics double-check the part that they ordered, I show that Gerber has P60952C in stock. Tell ND to call me if they have questions (they have my contact info)

Check the X and Y lead screws. They should be all black, if you see silver they need to be replaced. Also try cutting in the back right of the table vs front left and see if you notice a difference. Front left usually gets the most use and is worn the most, back right is typically less.
signmania , Yes same bit works great on 3mm and 6mm Sintra. A good starting point for a clean edge is around 120ipm/2 ips. You can speed it up from that value till you don't like the edge it's leaving.
