  1. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

That’s great information. So your postage is downloaded through stamps dot com? I am assuming you pay by dimensional weight and that it can’t be bent or folded? Once you pay, they send you a pdf with the postage stamp? Was each one unique or all the same?
  2. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

I am assuming you meant 4.5 minutes for both sides. Have been curious about how postage worked on coro. Thanks for the info!
  3. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

You need a true flatbed or cut down and run as smaller pieces. We have to precut to print on our hybrids to get art to line up. On our true flatbed we are spot on with front/back registration.
  4. Flatbed UV Suggestions

I went to Digitech facility to look at the 5 head with the intent to upgrade down the road. Ended up buying the 10 head machine and it has changed our business. Would not be where we are today without it. Digitech is truly a partner of ours. They showed me how vendor/customer relationships...
  5. Flatbed UV Suggestions

I know I am a Digitech fanboy, but I honestly don’t think there is anybody out there that can match their quality, speed and reliability. We have run 3 pass (50 seconds a board) all day every single day for almost 2 years without a single issue. That blows my mind. Maybe we are lucky, but...
  6. Flatbed UV Suggestions

Yes, not sure if johnny has been in front of these machines. Unless you either own or have demo’d these machines your input is pretty much irrelevant. Real world experience is much more reliable than some dude that has watched YouTube videos or “knows somebody that has one.”
  7. Flatbed UV Suggestions

Was in your same shoes a few years ago. I had roughly the same budget but ended up spending more as I felt is was much worth it. Looked at the same Swiss and are so glad I did not go that route. Unless you are buying their top of the line printer, the speed will bleed you dry. EFI is another...
  8. Flatbed UV Suggestions

A good starting point would be to know your budget and what markets your printing for. Lots of options out there and this could help narrow it down.
  9. Talk about an @$! whooping!

I agree but it doesn’t take an army to operate this equipment. We have 8 total employees and that’s how I like it. Small family environment. We work hard, have fun and leave it at the door when we go home. Except today…we are working on a Saturday. Lol.
  10. Talk about an @$! whooping!

Absolutely. Coming up on year 2 with our machine and have run it all day everyday at that speed. Trying to hire for a second shift at the moment and will eventually be adding a second machine. The craziest part is we have not had one service call since owning this machine. The real head...
  11. Talk about an @$! whooping!

You will realistically get 90 boards an hour with loading and the auto unloader. My machine doesn’t have their 2 pass option so we are averaging between 50-60 boards an hour (real production).
  12. Talk about an @$! whooping!

So I guess your in the construction business? Apples to oranges.
  13. Talk about an @$! whooping!

That’s cool and all but last time I checked caterpillars don’t print a 4x8 ever 27 seconds.
  14. Talk about an @$! whooping!

For anybody that went to ISA I hope you witnessed the ass whooping Digitech handed out. While the other vendors were busy talking big speeds and not printing anything, Digitech was blowing through pallets of corrugated with their new print/cut system. Absolutely amazing. Shows how they are...
  15. What do you think are the pain points of the flatbed printer industry?

Check out Digitech. Have had ours 18 months and cannot say enough good things. American made, low operating costs and incredible engineering. You will be hard pressed to find a better machine and company.
  16. Digitech LTX2 with auto unloader or without?

Graphic Realm is spot on. You don't know how bad you need/want it until you are without it. We had a part go out on ours and our operator was tracking FedEx with the piece like a hawk because he couldn't stand operating with out it. It is such a great system and works incredibly well. I was...
  17. Looking for a new (used but new to us) UV Flatbed Printer

$70k for a new flatbed?! Didn't realize the price had dropped so much. I would have killed for 18 boards an hour when we first got into UV direct. Sounds like a good deal, but also sounds either too good to be true or you are drastically undercutting the market.
  18. Covid Sick Time?

Pay them to stay home and recover. Last thing you want is them to come in and spread the virus. Not easy to do, but grind it out as it’s the right thing. What if more people at your shop get it and then nobody can work? Much more expensive mistake.
  19. Uv flatbed through a small doorway.

We had to cut a 10' wide hole in our production room to get it in. Literally had a company come out and cut it open and come back the next day to close it back up. lol.
  20. SureColor V7000 10-Color 4' x 8' UV Flatbed Printer

We bought the Digitech TrufireX2 about 14 months ago. Best decision we have ever made.
