  1. Need Suggestions on upgrading our UV Flatbed Printer and Flatbed Cutter

Pauly is spot on. Usually only people with great experiences or really bad experiences will put in the effort to add a review. Go kick the tires and see what’s the best fit. Call a couple references and find out more about the manufacturer. If you feel comfortable, pull the trigger. There...
  2. Digitech WhiteUp

If you are printing white on your TruFire, this software upgrade is a game changer! And of course…the upgrade is free because these guys are continually improving their product. We run a lot of large jobs with white and we have had zero issues with the white drying out after the upgrade...
  3. Question kyocera heads in Vanguard develops groves over time. Not head strikes. Why?

What do you use to treat/clean the heads? You use any kind of head cleaner/flush?
  4. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

I am constantly blown away at how well this machine is made and how smooth it performs. When you buy quality, you save money….
  5. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

Sounds like every encounter I have had with HP. Hate that your going through this and hope they make things right.
  6. Signs365 substitute?

Solid plan. Focus on what you know best and I agree with finding a wholesale company that thrives in quality and service. I was simply pointing out all the overhead costs associated with printing pvc/yard signs (or anything).
  7. Signs365 substitute?

That’s one way of not factoring in all your costs.
  8. New HP Latex 700 and 800 series - with White ink

This new series of Latex sounds like a disaster. Will be upgrading our small roll to roll soon and will be looking at Epson unless they get these kinks worked out. HP is possibly the most frustrating company to work with when you have issues and have no desire to go back down that road.
  9. need real world feedback of the HP W800

Sounds very similar to our experience with our 360. It works but only because we have found work arounds for all of our issues. I am sure ours is just a lemon, but HP has only made our situation(s) worse with how they handle them. You want to love them and the printer, but they are absolutely...
  10. WYLD GFI...minor flooding but back up and running.

I really hate to hear that. Its very frustrating when you are loyal to a vendor and they just abandon you when things get tough. HP makes a good product, but they have absolutely zero customer loyalty and could care less about them. I could go on for hours about how mad they have made me and...
  11. WYLD GFI...minor flooding but back up and running.

This is why I absolutely despise HP. I can list several horror stories I have had with them but it’s not worth my time and effort. Hope you are able to get it resolved and HP does something right.
  12. Discussion Trufire vs Vanguard

We do. You having an issue?
  13. Is there any one man shop making around 500k$ in annual sayles

I have to agree with Christian. We do a lot of work for some large companies and government contracts and this has never come up. To me, this is something financial institutes ask when you take out a loan. So technically, we should be asking our customers for a contingency plan as they are...
  14. Latex and General Formulations issues

We have used General Formulations for years and having issues with a recent batch of material we received. Trying to narrow down if it is material or printer issue. I believe it is a material issue but want to see if anybody else has seen this problem. Material: Concept 201 & Concept 201OAP...
  15. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

That is very impressive and good information. When I looked at the same machine it was around 2.5 minutes a board but that was a over a year ago. Not sure what settings we were running but it was not enough speed for what we were trying to achieve. Those are definitely not entry level speeds. Lol.
  16. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

That is good information to know. Add in 1 minute for loading and unloading and that machine is at 15 boards per hour. Again, this is good for entry level printing but would never compete in a production shop like ours. I could not live with less than 40 boards per hour. Not knocking the...
  17. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

Didn’t know it was a debate but I will put in my 2 cents. Both machines are great but they are not in the same league. Comparing 10 head to 10 head machine, the Digitech is over twice as fast. Realisticly…the vanguard gets 18-22 boards per hour. Our Digitech runs 40-60 boards per hour...
  18. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

Very true. Every machine will eventually have a issue(s), it’s a matter of how it’s handled that makes a difference. The only issue we have had with ours in our first year were the crash sensors went bad and they had a new pair to our door the next morning. No down time and handled it quickly...
  19. Is Vanguard a good printer? Which model is recommended?

I would be curious to know what issues Nate1n22 is having as well. Not really much to go wrong on the machine unless you have a bad operator. We have been very happy and any issues have been quickly addressed and fixed by Digitech.
