  1. Flatbed Printers - Vanguard Print Settings & 2nd Printer Purchase

So did you get two new vanguards for less than one of the others?
  2. Flatbed Printers - Vanguard Print Settings & 2nd Printer Purchase

Congrats. You can’t go wrong with any of those companies on your list. Gotta do what makes the most sense for your company.
  3. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

Anybody that is interested in getting into one of their X2 machines and can’t afford it at the moment should pick this up. In no time you will have the money to upgrade. Digitech stands behind all of their machines and will never leave you stranded. Totally different business model from...
  4. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

Those Retrojets are great machines and built by one of the best manufacturers in the business. We have their X2 and cannot say enough good things about it. Sounds like a win-win. Can’t wait to hear your feedback on your new machine!
  5. New Digitech workflow software

Finally updated to the latest software and wow! This Queue software is a huge game changer. You can really see the power and speed of the machine. We ran 30 different 4x8s in under 30 minutes. No need to stop and load new files....just print and keep feeding the beast. Beautiful quality...
  6. Arizona 360GT or HP R1000 purchase

I know a lot of people really like HP as they make good printers but I truly despise that company. We own 3 HP printers and all work well for what they are but if you ever have to deal with them, you will wish you had gone another route. Invest in these up and coming companies that appreciate...
  7. New Digitech workflow software

Is anybody running the new Digitech workflow software? I have heard great things and looks to be ideal for running jobs with variable data. Have not had time to update yet but wanted to get other users opinions. This company just keeps getting better!
  8. Flatbed Printers - Vanguard Print Settings & 2nd Printer Purchase

Hints why Digitech is the only true flatbed I know of with an auto unloader. You are loading as soon as it’s unloading. No time in between prints, true production. 60 boards an hour with load and unload. We do it all day, everyday.
  9. Flatbed Printers - Vanguard Print Settings & 2nd Printer Purchase

I would throw Digitech on your list. Their speed, quality and ink adhesion are incredible. If you are running lots of corrugated, their is not a machine that can beat it. The auto-unloader is a great feature and will keep your operator happy.
  10. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

We went with the 10 head machine + auto unloader. I didn’t see anything else with that production/quality in the same price range. We run 50 seconds a 4’x8’ all day long. Other machines are around 2 minutes to achieve the same quality. With over double the speed and much better build over...
  11. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

We turn off our Digitech at the end of everyday and every weekend. Our HPs I would never do that with. They need to constantly purge and do self maintenance.
  12. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

Do yourself a favor and call Troy and setup an appointment to go see Digitech. We looked at a lot of printers and test drove them all. As soon as I walked out of my Digitech demo I was completely sold. There are a lot of great companies/machines out there but none of them do it the way...
  13. Discussion Fastest, single phase power flatbed printer from 200k to 300k

Both are great options. You will get more speed out of the Digitech but it will cost more than the Vanguard. These “smaller” companies are turning a lot of heads as it is well deserved. They are hungry for your business and won’t nickel and dime you to death like the larger OEMs.
  14. Suggestions Best mid-level flatbed printer?

Quality costs more. If you look at the build of their machines they are vastly superior to the competition. These machines are not imported from China, they are built in Texas with American labor. Instead of cutting corners to save a buck, they spend a little more on higher quality American...
  15. Suggestions Best mid-level flatbed printer?

No such thing as overkill. You always want to buy more than your current needs unless you don’t plan on growing. Both companies are great. I liked the build and the software better of Digitech. The quality of the machines they are putting out are truly incredible. Their support has been...
  16. Suggestions Best mid-level flatbed printer?

We were initially looking at the 4 head but ended up going with 8 head (dual cmyk) + 2 white. Very happy with our decision.
  17. Test print files

We have always sent files that we print regularly then usually have them print solid swatches of gray, red, blue and anything else that may be hard to hit. Send them the most difficult files and make sure they meet your needs. You never want to buy something that can’t meet your quality...
  18. Rant COLEX is on my S**T LIST

Watching closely as we have been having the same issues. Been resolved since we replaced the camera chord a couple weeks. Been a big fan of colex over the years and think they will do you right but know your frustrations.
  19. HP R1000 - How Fast?

Have no real world experience with these machines but we run 2 of the fb series. Have seen them in action at several of the print shows and was never impressed with the speed or quality. If you want/need production, buy a production machine. These things are plastic toys that are dressed up...
  20. What a joke HP is

Very true. The dealer we bought through is a great company and they help any way they can. Unfortunately the do not have “techs” on staff only a team that installs the equipment. They help as much as they can but they are not trained as up as technicians. People like BigFish and end users...
