Big ass fans.
They really work. everyone used to use personal ACS here... Then we bought these and installed them, it dropped the heat by a lot. The overhead ones, never tried the other ones... It keeps it pretty cool until end of the day at least.

Anyone can ask anything. But why give attitude when The person answering them has a follow up question?
"How did you get your first client" is like asking "my neighbor wants a sign, what should I charge?"
There's a million different variables - what works for me is not going to work for you...
Google knows all.
They pretty much know your whole browser history - They keep track of everything with "unique" ID's so they dont break the law.
They know everything you browse, if you have a google home, or android phone...they record snippets and know keywords you talk about. Pretty much...
Certain ballasts are taking us a month to get in.
I'd take before and after photos, close.uos.of everything you think they might come bite you in the ass for.
If we see a small scratch on a window we're frosting we usually grab a photo... Takes a minute to inspect and document, and photos...
8518 is pretty close in composition to 8528, and is a little bit mildew/ant graffiti resistant. We wiped off some spray paint with just isopropyl with it, so I'm not surprised markers wipe off.
You will need something that absorbs ink, most vinyls in laminates the ink just sits on top. some...
It all depends on how much you're printing.
If you're going to print 50 signs on reflective.... I wouldn't do it on UV. We used to screen print 1000s of realtor signs, then just imprint the names - on our fb500 whenever we did it to reflective, the nozzles would start dropping.... They always...
Badges should always be removed (and replaced if the customer wants it.... We've gotten pretty good and 95% of the time. An remove them without damaging)
You can primer stamps, most of the time we don't unless.its a pretty deep stamp, never had a lift yet.
Look up, it's attached to the speed / snail dial.
Mines a seal 54 base, like 15 years old... So they could have made revisions, but Id think it's the same.
All you have to do is jump the top two wires wires on the 6 pin molex like below - in my photo, you'll see a white wire running to both. We just spliced a cable, shoved it in and replugged it in... That keeps it always open and it'll never trip. Again - do it as a temp measure for testing...
You can buy them on amazon for $10.
They work, but they have more play on them than a legit graphtec blade holder... So for little tiny text they're garbage, if you're just cutting items about 2-3" they work fine.
We use the cheap one for perf cutting and never had an issue, don't think I'd...
What do you guys use .040 for?
Over here...we only use .040 for license plates - all signage is made out of .081. 040 seems very thin, I cant imagine making even a parking sign out of it... Alupanel is more ridged.
Does your Grimco list who their supplier is? Under "Brand" over here, they...
We left ours off... It was supposed to be a temp fix, but we got busy.... and our operators liked it because there was no more false tripping... so we kind of neglected it.
No one put their finger through it, but one guy was using his olfa while feeding the media through, he put the olfa down...
You can bypass it with a paperclip. I wont be in the shop for a day or two, but when I am I'll take a photo for you.
Bypassing it is dangerous though - If you put your finger between the rollers... it isnt going to stop until the machine breaks. The laminator will break your finger / hand /...
Only reason I'd laminate it is to give it a nicer gloss level, or matte level as well as a bit of additional scratch resistance.
But no, I wouldn't laminate some cut letters on an ACM panel that won't be getting touched or rubbed.
We tape all the time and never silicone.
We used to tissue tape letters - but it doesn't give the letters / adhesive enough flex when the walls are moving / contracting due to heat changes / etc.
Vhb tape is thick though, and has some give to it.... So vhb shouldn't fall off, and I'd say...
Do you have the schematics on the inside?
I'm not at work right now. But you can jumper 2 pins together to bypass the safety sensor and see if the sensor is your issue. Ours went wonky, had the same issue as you and we disabled it and it works now.
It's about the Colorado UVgel getting white ink.
Good for people.who run 75-100k printers... Not good (or bad) for the average sign shop on here who run 20k printers.
It'd be interesting to see how they do it - first new white ink option since HP came.out with theres I believe? Imo, hps...
Maybe... I didn't Tinker with it too much. I was just a lowly print operator back then and didn't dare to take apart the machines. I think we got rid of it 8 months after I got into the business.
I was always curious, and we have a good relationship with our techs so I watched most repairs...
