doing hundreds of vehicle wraps every year for the last 10 years. There is no one on earth who would change my mind: every single vinyl will turn or twist. unless if you don't tighten them up enough then it won't but the screw could come lose. The more you turn the more it will twist. You could...
There is a tool to adjust the laminator. The manufacturer sells it I believe. It's basically a pull-weight scale measuring tool with a piece of flat metal attached to it. You put the flat metal ( probably 2 inch wide and probably 1-2mill thin) in between the rollers. You lock the rollers and...
no matter what vinyl you will use this will happen. don't matter if its calendered or cast either. if you put a screw in there it will twist the vinyl. I thought this was a common knowledge
The health issue ones are the cringiest ones. I got these all the time.
Easy to spot. They either do couple of these things that raises the red flag:
"Do you do vehicle wraps?"
"Do you accept a credit card as a form of payment"
"Are you the owner"
"Will like to know" these mofos always say...
Well. I am done with mr clipart ( car n truck) I even know the owner personally but i am done paying for their completely off size templates that is sometimes missing elements.
Cheap or not. I just signed up for pro vehicle outlines. It is several times more expensive but i just checked /tested...
More or less I understand ICC profiles. I tried creating one and I didn't mean to use paper profile on vinyl profile but there are literally dozens of vinyl profiles out there made for vinyl. Printing with the wrong profile won't cause no catastrophic results. I was told to use the right profile...
in flexi you can use gradient and transparent layers with spot colors? I know in Versaworks you can't
by the way I just looked up spot colors in photoshop. this is far from spot colors in illustrator. You apply it to channels and you can not even save the file with more than 27 spot colors...
What I meant is that getting the right gray colors when it comes to different profiles is a russian roulette.
You can go through a million profiles you might not get the right grey color. To get decent gray you will have to print saturation only. I don't think you have any other choices since...
choosing a color profile is a complete "Russian roulette"
choosing the right profile. Right profile for what? that matched the media? That will NOT get you perfect colors. EVER. A few weeks ago i was working with spot color and when i chose avery 1105 profile the rip software completely ruined...
I have found a youtube video which was pretty weird.
My file was created in grayscale, to begin with. Saved as grayscale as well.
in the youtube video that was made for how to print grayscale on flexi they took the greyscale image. created a new CMYK image. In channels turn off CMY and select...
my roland is only 54" wide. the epson is 60. but it's out of warranty and it prints bad ( banding) but i got a very good color out of it and it prints without gaps but he doesn't want to fix the machines for thousands of dollars to print my wrap. He uses that machine for banners where you can...
I hope so. Never used the mutoh nor the flexi. We did print a full roll on the guys epson. And i also print full rolls on my roland. But i just realized this guy doesnt even have a take up reel on is mutoh :/
Very new to flexi. I know other rip softwares and i can find my way around to print good gray colors.
Most of you might know that when you try to print gray colors with the usual color profiles the gray will either come out with greenish or pinkish hue.
I need to print a carbon fiber pattern...
Can you guys help me? I need to print a pattern on the full roll without any gaps. Is there a way to crate a 60x60 inch pattern and repeat it for 1800 inches? I really don't want to create and save a file thats nearly 2000 inches. We managed to do this on onyx with epson machine but that's...
i have tried Vinyl off like 5 years ago and it did nothing!
I have tried something else that was more like a gel and it loosened the vinyl like on the video but it left full glue. basically separated the vinyl from the glue. Not sure if it helped or made things worse. Just a coule months ago i...
Btw we used 3m 180 all the time (before they changed the glue to X pattern from the straigh lines) We changed to avery because it was $300 cheaper /kit and twice as easy to install especially if you print with eco solvent.
I got excited for the 175 until i read about the glue removal part :(
