  1. Need Help Very fast partial nozzle clog SP300V

There are a few reasons can cause it. It could be the captop is not sealing against the head properly, allowing it to partly dry out. It could also be an ink supply problem to the head. This can be from a bad cartridge, partly blocked ink line or blocked needle in the cartridge dock. When you...
  2. Best Source For DX4 Heads?

They used to be good years ago and I would use them all the time, but far too many people have had problems with them, both with heads and other parts they have sold as genuine and are cheap chinese copies :(
  3. Best Source For DX4 Heads?

I dont know of anyone in Canada personally, but there are a few in the USA who can send there. https://www.facebook.com/ernie.viveiros Ernie is in Florida, and supplies new Roland parts and is a technician with a great reputation
  4. Best Source For DX4 Heads?

Anyone selling them very cheap, or from china is a scam. There are no such thing as repaired or refurbished heads, so avoid anyone who says that. Digiprint sell new ones, but they have a track record of selling bad heads, and are almost impossible to return faulty ones. There are dealers who can...
  5. Why do I have to press PAUSE to get my Versacamm to print?

Which model do you have? I have the heater boards and heat sensors for most models in stock
  6. Why do I have to press PAUSE to get my Versacamm to print?

I have had them with about any part of the heating system faulty :D it seems to be quite random which bit fails
  7. Why do I have to press PAUSE to get my Versacamm to print?

Ok yes definitely has a fault with the heating system then and needs sorting
  8. Why do I have to press PAUSE to get my Versacamm to print?

It sounds like you have a fault with your heater system somewhere as it should only take a few minutes then start automatically. Does it say now heating when you turn it on? It could be the sensor, thermostat or heater board. I have them in stock for most models if you need them
  9. XR-640 main board change

Is this a new board you have just fitted? I'm not 100% on the XC/XR but it should be a dip switch setting on the main board tells the board which printer model it is fitted to. If you check the switch settings from your old board, and make sure the new ones are set the same and see if that fixes it
  10. Font ID please?

    Many thanks :)
  11. Font ID please?

Any ideas on this one? Sure I have seen it before but the weird J is throwing me! Thanks
  12. Need Help Service Call 0002 Roland VG540

One or the other. The only easy way to tell is to replace one of them for a known working board and see if that fixes it. It is more common for the servo board to fail, so I would start there
  13. Color problem on Roland SP-540I

At this point if you can't get it printing properly, pay a technician to come out and fix it for you. At the moment you are just wasting money chasing things that aren;t causing the problem, so it needs investigating by someone with more experience
  14. Can anyone re-create this whole image?

It's an awful design anyway. Looks like every AI generated logo the 'designers' who charge $10 do. Maybe try and convince them to get a professional looking logo done instead?
  15. Fine Black streaks on images whilst using a Roland SP540i

It could be either of those, or the short head cables or the long ones from the carriage board to mainboard. It looks like a bad connection just on one small part of the head to give very thin lines like that
  16. SP-300V magenta dropped out, but contaminating yellow. I am new to this machine, any help would be appreciated.

With the drain tubes and connectors, just disconnect them and check they aren't blocked. If you get a syringe and flush them through with cleaning fluid this is always a good idea too. If you take off the right hand cover and look at the capping station where the head rests, you will see the...
  17. SP-300V magenta dropped out, but contaminating yellow. I am new to this machine, any help would be appreciated.

First steps would be to replace the dampers and captops with OEM Roland ones. Also check the tubing from the captops to the pump, particularly the small plastic Y connector that joins the tubes together. If none of this helps then it could be a head that is damaged internally and allowing ink...

  20. Color problem on Roland SP-540I

You can also try printing in high quality. This is slower but can often solve problems with the ink banding. Did you replace the dampers for OEM Roland ones or aftermarket?
