  1. CE3000 cutting master

The problems will be getting a USB driver for this plotter that will work on newer machines and compatibility of CM2 with newer versions of Adobe or Corel. I don't have an answer, just being a wet blanket I guess. Do you have an older computer that you can connect to? Good Luck
  2. UJF series ink set?

You've got two ends of this spectrum - Hard and Soft. Hard = rigid, durable. Soft = flexible and not as durable. I realize that most braille signs are touched very little in most commercial buildings, but the soft ink won't hold up as well to the physical wear on the signs. Good Luck
  3. Gerber scientific stop manufacturing machines..real or not?

It's true. We got notice this week that Gerber is stopping production of Edge machines and 15 plotters. It didn't address other sizes. Omega will continue to be sold and supported nothing was mentioned as far as SaaS, but with their security dongles, unless you upgrade, you should be able to...
  4. Bubbles appearing in last half of Orajet 3164m

Gino, the supply on this printer is driven by a motor, so your suggestion doesn't apply in this case. This is from the site prep guide that you should have gotten when or before you got the printer (under environmental specifications): Relative humidity range for best print quality 40–60%...
  5. Roland BN-20 Question

The BN-20 requires a service app to access service functions.

  7. Scratches during printing on GERBER 1 + FLEXISIGN

Do all your testing with Gerber 220 or 225 vinyl and a Gerber foil. Chris is right, that's not scratching and default settings should work fine if you've got default materials. If you have access to Omega software, try printing from that and see if you get the same results. Good Luck
  8. Please help me

What model is this? I've had something similar happen with a bad RMS sensor. Once I replaced the sensor, it cut straight. This could also be a bad Y motor - the encoder could be going out. Good Luck.
  9. Wiper Blade

If it's building up, failure to clean the wiper every week (thought it's not easy on that model) is probably one of the biggest causes of failure of the maintenance station. Ink build up will create extra resistance which will cause the gears and/or clutch to fail. The wiper is a rubber-ish...
  10. Half of my Cyan isn't working - Roland LEJ-640

When it's half of a head it's usually an air leak at the damper or the manifold. UV inks make the manifolds quite brittle. Check to make sure the old damper didn't leave an o-ring on the manifold. Also, it could be the O-ring at the top of the damper where the ink line comes in. Did you...
  11. Need Help Overspray Issues with H1625 while printing Acrylic

I'm not familiar with your particular printer, so this is just generic stuff to address: Is the head height appropriately set? Too high can contribute to overspray. What does the nozzle test print look like? Are the nozzles firing where they should be? Is your ink OEM and is it fresh? Check...
  12. Cutting Master 5 and Reg Marks/Cutting

I don't know the why, but usually you can follow the money. CM5 supports Illustrator and Corel as well. As for SAi, Graphtec paid them to do CM4, so I'm sure they did OK.
  13. Cutting Master 5 and Reg Marks/Cutting

Cutting Master 5 isn't an upgrade to CM4. It's a total rewrite of the program. SAi built CM4. CM5 is built by Graphtec. I wouldn't expect compatibility between the two systems any more than trying to cut a print job from Omega through Flexi's production manager. CM5 does bring some cool...
  14. Thickest material die cut on a fc9000

That's a job for a flatbed. I'd hate to have to glue banner material on to a liner for 50 banners - that's like working awfully hard to make a Sawzall do the job of a screwdriver
  15. VG2 Captop replacement

It's a little different, but not too difficult. I've shown many customers how to do it. Here's how I do it... 1. Move the carriage over the platen 2. Move the capping station platform to the right to disengage it from the base. 3. - optional and I don't do it, but the manual says to...
  16. Reliable QR Code Generator?

I've used FlexiSign to create QR codes. If you have Flexi, it's in the text menu.
  17. New to me FC-9000 (metal grit roller rubbing?)

The ends do come off easily, but you need to take the black aprons off to get at the screws for the steel plate. Look under the front edge for the screws that hold the apron on.
  18. Install new Graphtec fc9000 in Omega 5

Since we're basically talking about an unsupported plotter in that software, you're going to have to try them out and see. Also, you'll likely not be able to make it read registration marks and cut Edge jobs without the "designated driver" . But you should be able to cut vinyl only jobs.
  19. Condition of Dampers LEJ-640

They normally have a foil sleeve over them to keep the light out. If you look behind the dampers that he's showing (especially the yellow one) you can see that the others are wrapped up tight.
  20. Ink is bleeding?

I'd call that overspray. Are you using OEM ink? Is the ink within the expiration date? Is the printer in a warm enough environment?
