Do you have OMAS turned off. If so then it sounds like you need to make a separate media preset for side A with .5" Advance compensation.
But with the curing heat involved getting two sides to match perfectly is going to be a challenge. It is best to design the graphics to compensate to this.
Looks like these are CMYK builds and not LAB and your RIP would not have the LAB libraries for them. But reassigning them to the PANTONE Library in your RIP would probably work.
In a production environment it is not a good thing to allow any software to update itself or remove previous versions if and when you choose to do an update or upgrade. Also saving old installers should be done.
Graphtec will not fix CM4. But I have not found anything wrong with on the latest Mac version of Illustrator.
CM5 is an entirely new program from Graptec and they will fix it.
Here we go again using the term profile when what do you really mean? Are you talking about the Media Presets or the Output Profile? I used to harp on this years ago but it did no good. People are still calling the Media Presets and Print Modes profiles which leads to a lot of confusion.
Good to know that on the stepping. Saves me testing that.
I also made a profile for 18p Uni with very low GCR and K start at 35. I am impressed with slightly smoother grain. Must be placing the dots more precisely even though the dot size is what it is. I also saved a linearization ramp just...
Ok I did my first tests. The 18pass setting definatlly is printing Uni but I am not sure it is actually printed 18pass. Seemed the exact same speed as the 10pass mode. The preset with 18pass mode had the ink density set to 120 but I could see no difference. Going to have to time it.
I then...
I saw all the as well on the L360. Interesting about your 18pass setting. I will have to test that as I do some POP signage that would benefit from this. I would be interested in what your test results are.
After properly calibrating and profiling the media, most RIPs have built in tools to adjust output vales that are in their Pantone or other spot color libraries. Use those tools.
I have that on the L360 but it looks like your only option is 10pU_CMYKcm_110. Does not seem that you can add anything new mode to that substrate and see the U or even change that mode to say 120 ink density. I have not really tested it so wondering what others have found?
