  2. Chester...Dan you were correct...he was a genious!

No, no, no....I don't see Chester as either a genius or the original. He too learned and was influenced by others whom he admired. What you see in CC's work is just that, work. Calling him a genius overlooks and disregards all the hard work, sweat and study he put into his signs. It's too...

  4. Need the best solution for blowing up pictures

It's all to do with sampling. There are those that understand why and use the incremental method. There are those that don't understand why and they just 'blow it up'.
  5. Need the best solution for blowing up pictures

+1 I've also tested genuine fractals, photozoom and others I can't remember. If you incrementally enlarge you won't get any better results than what you get out of Photoshop.
  6. Hello from The Equipment Guy

    Welcome from Sydney.
  7. Sergio no longer with AZ Color?

+1 Dave....got all my old Signcraft mags and old sign books...my favourite was also Chester Cunningham...still is when I think about it, I probably apply his ideas to my work today a lot more than I even realise or think about.
  8. SP-300 - adjusting height of heads for banner material?

No way on earth I'd put pre-grommetted banner through my printer.
  9. laminator

GBC, SEAL, RS, doesn't matter, it should work and work well. Assuming it isn't bent or broke, something is wrong with either the operator or setup..just buying a Seal won't help, (I've used them all and others and I like GBC) As Dan says, post some pics, you can tell a lot just by looking at the...
  10. Here are the photos I took for a job I did for a middle school in Wyoming!!!

I had a look around the net as well...you're completely dellusional.
  11. need help with my mutoh rj 6100

probably not...could be a cable, a loose cable that isn't seated properly to the slider board or the slider board itself, but usually if a cable isn't seated properly you'll get weird patterns...I'm presuming your printer is similiar to a JV2...my memory of that model is fading. There are other...
  12. Shocked!!

Good posts Dan and Fred and true. If you want a future for your business (although it may seem easier just to charge less to get easy work) you have to think this way. We turn away customers that want cheap all day long...don't want them. We're known as a pricey shop and yet we're not taking any...
  13. need help with my mutoh rj 6100

If you have both heads printing something, doesn't matter what colours, that's good news. You probably need to prime the other head by drawing ink through the head with a syringe. If you do a search on here, it would have been described many, many times.
  14. Ignore List

When I come here, I bring popcorn.
  15. Ignore List

Mosh...who cares if people abuse you?...why bother putting people on your ignore list? Water off a ducks back to me if I got abused, I might just find it interesting reading. I know who and what I am and so should you. For all it's worth, I think you're ok. I also suspect a lot of your stories...
  16. What happens to all the repossessed printing equipment?

From the ones I've seen they look as if they still have half printed graphics in them. On some of them the heads aren't even parked.
  17. Keep off my property!!!

    ahahaha...!
  18. What happens to all the repossessed printing equipment?

We get them over here, sometimes complete signshops, printshops and big ones... They go up for auction...get some great deals.
  19. Pricing Your Services

+1 for Jill and Jon...(ladies first).
  20. Facebook Paranoia?
