  1. FC8600 - Service Contract?

The dealer we bought our FC8600-160 from 12 months ago is now hounding us to buy a yearly service contract for ~$620 a year. We don't feel like it's worth it, however they seem quite adamant that we should (to the point they automatically billed the invoice to our account and we're now having...

  3. Suggestions Epson S80600 - Tips & Tricks

Have our new S80600 booked for installation in 2 weeks. We've run Roland for the past 7 years, so feeling like we've got a lot of learning ahead. Any tips or tricks to help get us on our feet faster would be much appreciated!
  4. Do you like your PC monitor?

https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27UL650-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor Don't be afraid of 4k, you'll notice the difference in pixel density even navigating around Windows. Also, don't be afraid to look at an ultra-wide with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Same height as a standard 27", but 34" corner to corner.
  5. Do you like your PC monitor?

What's your budget? That's going to be the biggest factor
  6. Graphtec FC9000 reviews and experience

We've had our FC8600 for just over a year now. Same situation as you, primary use is die-cut stickers. Changing the blade position isn't an issue, the jobs where you'll run both a contour cut and a perf cut are few and far between. It's 99% perf cutting over the dedicated channel.
  7. Question Does Anyone Make a Printer That Can Sit Idle Without harm?

Sell the 40600 to me then ;)
  8. Just In Heya from Canberra, Australia!

Always great to see more Aussie's on here. Welcome!
  9. S80600 Users: Do you print Red and Orange ink for outdoor use?

When we did our 80600 demo their lead tech guy said they have an internal white paper on the durability of red/orange inks being the same as regular CMYK. I could look at the paper there, but couldn't take a copy because it contained proprietary info on their ink.
  10. GRAPHTEC opinions

You can have it cross cut after each sheet, then automatically read the next set of reg marks. We cut whole rolls of perf cut decals unattended this way.
  11. Need Help Longest lasting contour cutting blade for Roland Print-Cut

We noticed a massive difference using Clean Cut blades. One 60° blade managed to perf cut 75,000 4" decals with no quality change beginning to end.
  12. Need Help Graphtec Non-OEM Blade Holders

We're looking to grab some replacement blade holders for our new FC-8600, however Australian pricing for the Graphtec OEM ones are $290 each. Has anyone had luck with the much cheaper Chinese ones?

This model? - https://www.sign-in-china.com/products/27557/australia_stock_qomolangma_63in_full_auto_wide_format_cold_laminator_with_heat_assisted.html We've got one in our shop. 14. Need Help VS-640 Deflected Nozzles

Hoping the brains trust on here can provide some insight. We had our head replaced ~12 months ago and had flawless printing since. Around a month ago we started getting these deflected nozzles in our black. I've tried running medium cleans, as well as printing large amounts of pure black to try...

  16. Summa F-Series Cutting Through Carrier Tape

What did you use for registration?
  17. T-Shirt - Heat Press - Which one should I get?

I'd recommend a swing away rather than a clamshell design. It'll save your knuckles touching the top platen and let's you get a proper top down view for alignment/positioning.
  18. What would cause vinyl discoloration like this?

What product are you using? We're Sydney based but still get our fair share of 40° days. It'd be great having that extra peace of mind on long term jobs facing the sun!
  19. CorelDRAW - Version Upgrades Going Bye Bye, Subscription-Only Soon

Our Adobe subscription is nearly $120 a month here in Australia. That on its own isn't that bad, but when you add in everything else like Quickbooks ($50 monthly), RIP subscription, Cloud back up services etc it's really easy to hit $500+ a month.
  20. Smallest / least expensive latex printer (maybe?)

When we did a demo last month Epson told us the Orange and Red have the same life span as regular CMYK. I think it was the previous generation that had issues.
