  1. Vectorizing an image

Inkscape.org I wouldn't know. I've never had the need to try it.
  2. Vectorizing an image

Inkscape works incredibly well and it's free. It's certainly good enough for any project I've ever had to use it for and as a screen printing shop we've done a TON of logo vector conversions over the years. We even took a low res photo of an MMA fighter once and converted it to a 128 color...
  3. Gemini studs in a pinch

Did Gemini short you on the amount you needed?
  4. Gemini studs in a pinch

No problem. They are very common so I would imagine you'll have no problem finding them locally.
  5. Is the Signs 365 website down?

Good point. I'm using Google Chrome for my browser.
  6. Gemini studs in a pinch

They are 10-24 studs and although you probably can't buy the studs, you could buy screws and cut the heads off or buy some 10-24 threaded rod and cut to size.
  7. Is the Signs 365 website down?

It's working for me. Loaded right up in quick fashion and I was able to login.
  8. Need a little work?

Our UPS driver stopped in to drop off packages yesterday and told us a FedEx truck was overturned on the highway.
  9. The best brand of razor blade?

I'm with Z. I use an Olfa Slimline knife and blades when working on vehicles and other things where I need control and precision and I use standard utility blades in a Craftsman lock blade style holder that flips open for most everything around the shop. We buy 100 at a time for like $12-15.
  10. Font Help Front Identification

The Saturday Evening Post was the very first thing that came to mind when I looked at this. That might be a good place to start.
  11. Rant of the day

Maybe they designed it for a postcard or print ad and the customer thinks the same file is suitable for signage?
  12. Anybody ever seen this?

Any other comments or recommendations with regards to this?
  13. Anybody ever seen this?

Thanks, Kevin. The top layer may actually be reflective now that you mention it. I'll be going back to look at the truck tomorrow morning to do some color matching for the new decals. It'll be broad daylight out but I'll tell the owner to hit it with a flashlight later in the evening to see if...
  14. T-Shirt - Heat Press - Which one should I get?

We have two very old Insta presses, model 715, and they are great. We picked them up used from a Hallmark store that was discontinuing the heat press t-shirt part of their business. I can't imagine a better heat press than these.
  15. Anybody ever seen this?

I went to look at a truck last night that's getting some new decals. The owner started removing the old number decal on one side which reveals a black ghost image on the paint. Not only have I never seen anything like this, but I find it odd that the 'ghost' number is in the shape of the white...
  16. Need Help Mounting adhesive vinyl to MDO

MDO has a resin impregnated paper outer surface, which is what allows it to be smooth and easy to paint while significantly increasing moisture-resistance.
  17. Textured Laminate?

It could be 3M 3647 textured cast floor graphic laminate. It's 19 mil thick and has a textured surface.
  18. Removing old cracked vinyl wrap from trailer

This is an interesting concept. I never really thought about it but I'm guessing it would dissolve the vinyl altogether. Did you hear about this somewhere?
  19. Heat Transfer Printing Issue

We print similar material on our solvent printer and unless I set it to print with at least 24 passes unidirectional, we get crappy quality prints too. I just assumed it was the nature of printable HTV because I've tried a few different brands and print profiles with the same sort of results...
