  1. Color problem on Roland SP-540I

There is certainly issues with your Yellow/Magenta Head. Try a 48 Hour head soak to see if it revives, otherwise you'll need to change that head to remove those lines when you have colors that use Magenta and Yellow.
  2. Need Help "Remove Cartridges" ??

If that's the case, then probably not. Hopefully someone with Mutoh Knowledge will be able to chime in and help you.
  3. Need Help "Remove Cartridges" ??

I'm not familiar with Mutoh's, but if they are anything like Roland's, it could be a bad sensor where the cartridges are inserted, does it tell you which cartridge it senses?
  4. Cut Line Off

Is it only this particular design that is doing it or are others as well?
  5. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

I re-watched the video, as mentioned above, it doesn't appear the media is out far enough, but if you've already tried it with the media out hanging down in front, then that rules that out. Looks like it was a used Printer? Has it ever worked since you bought it? Might be worth asking the...
  6. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

Understood, then that isn't a factor, it's been a long time since I last used a BN-20, didn't remember that it locked backwards compared to other Roland models.
  7. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

I could be wrong, but it looks like you haven't locked down the media clamp lever.
  8. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

Yes, the carriage is the part that goes back and forth.
  9. Need Help Roland BN-20 "Setup Sheet" error

Could be the cable for the cut carriage, as it sounds like it's not reading. When you lock down the media and the carriage moves to see the placement, does it stop over the pinch rollers or does it just keep going? Also, make sure the pinch rollers are in proper placement. Can you send photos of...
  10. Roland VP-540 test print Yellow missing a lot after changing cartridge

If this only happened after a cartridge was changed, could be a bad one, might be worth trying a new cartridge if the head soak and syringe pull doesn't work.
  11. Canva

It does make it very difficult for us Graphic Designers when we now have to compete with these so called "self taught designers" and cheap competition sites. Logo design is the worst area of it.
  12. Roland Truevis VG2-640 - Banding issues

Don't buy it from Digiprint. You'll get more headaches then it's worth. They might be cheaper looking upfront, but if anything happens, you're on your own. Better to buy OEM from your local dealer for these machines. Yes, they are more expensive, but are better quality. If you feel comfortable...
  13. Roland Truevis VG2-640 - Banding issues

Something I did when I had a similar issue was to do 2x print and upped the brightness to compensate, it helped but took a very long time. Might give it a try to see if it can get you by until you can get the head taken care of.
  14. Roland Truevis VG2-640 - Banding issues

Not sure if it will resolve the issue, but you could try Uni-directional and slowing down the print head speed and see if this gives better results. Of course it will take much longer to print, but might stop the need to replace the head. You could also try replacing the cap top, if it's been a...
  15. Roland Travis SG540 service call 0380 (0008) - Help!?

A 0380 error is a timing error in which the machine tries and fails after a set time frame to fill a damper. The 0008 indicates what damper. Usually the small sensors fail. It is good to keep them on hand. The usual sign for this is ink leaking out of the printhead. Of course they are also in...
  16. Question Is it worth saving my Roland ?

If you did want to upgrade, I'd recommend trying to pick up a VS-i model, they are quick, good quality and easy enough to service yourself. Only real downside is the 1 head setup. However, as long as you treat it right, it will treat you right. It's our most used printer. We still have our old...
  17. Roland Truevis VG2-640 - Banding issues

Although the nozzle test doesn't look bad, there are a few deflections and a few missing nozzles, which might be causing trouble. Have you tried doing solid blocks of CMYK with PMS colors and setting them up as Pure 100% of each and seeing if there is 1 color that is worse. From your photos...
  18. Happy July 4th

Happy 4th of July to all our friends to the south.
  19. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

Unfortunately not. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge then me might have some more suggestions.
  20. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

It's the cut carriage that detects the position of the pinch rollers.
