  1. VS-540i wont boot

Are you changing the chips? We had a VS-540 years ago with white and metallic and I believe that is what we did with the cartridges, as we rarely used those 2 colors. If it's the same cartridge and it isn't empty, then it could be a sensor issue.
  2. Need Help: Roland VG head soak

Your nozzle test doesn't look too bad, there are a few missing nozzles. Do you find it's causing issues when printing?
  3. Need Help: Roland VG head soak

Do you have a nozzle test you can show? Also, how old are your cap tops, and are they making a good seal?
  4. Hello from Ohio

    Welcome.
  5. Question How can modify or delete my post/thread?

It's found below your post. It should say report, then next to it edit.
  6. vs-540i print head dead

but did it leak down on the boards on the side? It certainly sounds like the head is dead, however it also usually blows one or both of the fuses.
  7. vs-540i print head dead

Did it leak inside the head and then out? If so, it most likely fried the internals of the head. Unfortunately these heads are well known for being easy to fry.
  8. Roland SP300v - can't access service mode - boots up on it's own

A quick way to see is, with power off, swap that cable with another color and plug both in and see if the issue goes to the other color.
  9. Roland SP300v - can't access service mode - boots up on it's own

It looks like maybe the sensor on #1 isn't working. Did you try taking it out and cleaning it?
  10. Roland SP300v - can't access service mode - boots up on it's own

When you select the ink type, did you change it to Eco-Sol Max?
  11. Greys printing pink

I'm not sure, I've never had a bad choke valve, but it's hard to believe multiple would go at the same time, but it's not impossible. Does it look like ink is in the lines going into the dampers?
  12. Greys printing pink

Just to be on the safe side, make sure it's installed correctly, with the spring in the proper position. I did once have an issue with drop of nozzles because the cap top wasn't sitting correctly. Might not be your issue, but at least you'll be able to rule it out. It could be starvation, but...
  13. Greys printing pink

Have you changed the cap top? Might be worth a try if not.
  14. Need Help Roland VS540 - Print Head or Electronic Issue ?

I recently had a similar issue with one of my SP-300V's and it turned out to be the manifold on the printhead. Potentially this could be the same issue. I also just found out the other day, you can actually get the manifold for this one head printer for much cheaper then a new printhead. The...
  15. Greys printing pink

See, I said I could be wrong, didn't think you could take that head apart without ruining it. Glad I know that for the future. Thanks.
  16. banding

Sounds like it could possibly be cap top related, if it goes away after after a cleaning and comes back. Let us know once you've changed the cap tops.
  17. banding

You're adjustments look good and the nozzle test, other then that tiny deflection (not enough to cause this), it's fine. When you mentioned earlier about the profile being used for years, was this talking about the other Roland? If so, I wouldn't base it on it, as I've noticed with my SG-300...
  18. banding

Do you have a photo of a nozzle test? Could be the head is starting to go, unlikely though, as your machine is probably less then 2 years old. You said you did the GAP adjustment?
  19. Greys printing pink

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, since this is a 1 head machine, it's all built in and you can't replace the manifold in it. As a last ditch effort, you can try a 48 hour head soak and see if that gives any improvement.
  20. Question SP300V - Service Mode Test Print - What Does It Mean?

Do you have photos? My guess on this old post it end in either replacing cap top and dampers or a new head.
