  1. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

No sensor in there. You typically don't need to clean them, unless you have some stuff on the little wheels, those are usually the things that go. Are those little wheels in good shape?
  2. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

It tells the printer where the limits are. Not sure if it will help, but it might. It will give you instructions on the screen of what do do. Because if you'd done all the linear encoder setups and calibrations and then did the adjust Bi-Dir and the print and cut calibration in the user menu and...
  3. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

No, it's a different procedure. Sorry, it's called limit position & cut down position initialize, which secondary power off, you press the left, up and right keys at the same time and press power button while holding those keys. It's in the service menu if you have it.
  4. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

If you just replaced the linear encoder, you could always try another linear initialization. *Edit: Looks like you actually haven't done that yet, based on what you mentioned above.
  5. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

Sorry, didn't mean files, meant have you tried other types of vinyl, other then the Oracal 751?
  6. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

What kind of material are you using and does it give you this issue on all medias you try?
  7. Is this a damper issue?

Does it do it on all medias you print on or just one specific kind? Doesn't really appear to be a damper problem, as it is were it, you'd expect it to be very faded or have fine lines, but those lines are very thick, my guess is that maybe the edge of the media is lifting slightly and it can't...
  8. Roland SP-300 Cutting Alignment Issue

Might be a stupid question, but have you adjusted the Bi-dir and done the calibration from the menu on the user side? Also, make sure that the pinch rollers aren't broken and that the media isn't moving side to side.
  9. Roland Bn-20A Wont Cut

Have you made sure the blade wasn't broken? Also, make sure the blade holder is securely locked into the carriage.
  10. Roland Versacamm SP-300 ... print starts out black

Do you have a photo? What about the cap tops and dampers, replaced recently? From that photo you posted, there is overspray, which is usually due to a deflecting nozzle.
  11. Roland Versacamm SP-300 ... print starts out black

Looks to be a little more then that, how are your nozzle test prints? Have your cap tops and dampers been replaced recently?
  12. Roland Versacamm SP-300 small letters are blurry PLEASE HELP

As mentioned above, how is the nozzle test print? Also, do you have photos, which might also shed light on possible problems.
  13. Roland SP540i Prints on Sending But not on test prints

Have you tried to setup a special file setting PMS colors for C,M,Y & K and then setting in the Spot color in Versawork 100%C only for Cyan , 100& M only for Magenta and so on and trying to see if it's actually printing black, as typically when you print something it doesn't always use K, a lot...
  14. Roland SP300i Replace?

As far as I know the SP-300i doesn't have a head adjustment.
  15. Just replaced both print heads (OEM) on my SG-300, now it won't print anything

Like it's been mentioned, most likely the fuses on the mainboard. It's located at the back, in behind where the control panel is. Un screw all those screws on the back cover and it should be there. Make sure the power is off before you do any servicing back there. You'll need a multi-meter to...
  16. Roland BN-20 Overspray after a manual clean.

I wouldn't recommend, that is what the wiper should do.
  17. Roland BN-20 Overspray after a manual clean.

I'd start with changing the cap top, as it sounds like you're in the process of doing. If you think there is a clog in the line you can try pushing some cleaning liquid from the line after the cap top to see if it goes through and comes out into the waste container. If it goes through no problem...
  18. Roland SP300i Replace?

No, as that would mean you emptied out the cartridge. I typically pull a couple syringe full, depending on the size of the syringe. If you've done that and still no improvement, unfortunately, the head is not coming back.
  19. Roland SP300i Replace?

Hi Kelly, by the syringe method, I mean that you connect a syringe to the line after the cap top before it goes into the t, before the pump and gently pull ink through, then do a medium cleaning and see if any improvement. If not, then the only real course of action is to replace.
  20. Roland SP300i Replace?

Sounds like you might need new cap tops as well, especially if their older then 6 months. After the head soak would be a good time to replace if you have spares in stock.
