  1. Flexcut

The plotter. I'm hoping I can make a summa cut high volume of backlight ( plastic) with flex cut so I can invest 12k not 130k+ for a flat bet cutter. but my client needs a very nice finish. If the flex cut leaves small marks in the half cut material then it won't work.
  2. Flexcut

Hi guys, Anyone with experience with flex cut? I have a few questions. my main questions are: how clean is the cut after you take out the cut part? Can you see the marks or is it a clean cut? Have anyone contour cut large images? Anyone uses this plotter to complete cut all the way...
  3. Summa D series vs S series

I been reading about flexcut in summa. Anyone has experience nice with it? How visible are the half cut marks after you press out the cut part? Anyone tried it in thin film?
  4. Summa D series vs S series

Hi, I have another question about the summa cutter.. Sorry for the hijack but I guess you got your answer already! Could I be able to cut squares like 8"x8" in the middle of the print in backlight film? i have to make monthly many prints 40cms x 150cms. In the middle of this print I have...
  5. DesignJet L26500 - Waving on print? Help

Yes, the problem is the media or its coating. Some cheap banner media do that on latex printers.
  6. HP 26500 weak printing on clear.

Why dont you print a backlight and mount it with a good clear ashesive to the lexan? Latex prints very good backlights.
  7. L26500 print head life

Well that doesn't make sense to me since I constantly print 50 meters rolls day and night sometimes for 4-5 weeks, 7 days a week without a problem. Also I'm printing backlight that uses tons of ink. And that's with 2 printers. How many passes are you using? The lower the pass count to more...
  8. L26500 print head life

I have printed more than 400,000 sqf in L25's and L26's. head life usually go way past the one liter guarantee. I'm going to say my average head dies after 7 liters of ink. I had a couple go over 20 liters. I think the key for long lasting heads is using high number of passes. We do mostly...
  9. Lx850 users

Ink consumption information Hi guys, thanks for the answers. Another question, do you find the ink consumption information in the printer accurate? I been printing backlights 250%, and using about 14-15 ml per square meter, which it is about half compered with the smaller L26500 printers in...
  10. DRYTAC Facemont question

I buy rolls and they have no grid. I use a seal laminator. I face mount photograps to plexi so the prints that I mount are normally big. We do from 8"x10" all the way to 4'x8'. I would say 25" average. It's a great quality adhesive.
  11. DRYTAC Facemont question

I have been using it for years. Mine has never come with grid. just use your nails!!! The liner is there. It's a very basic adhesive.
  12. DRYTAC Facemont question

Face mount doesn't need heat it's a pressure adhesive. I would recommend a laminator but 5" you may be able to apply with simple hand instrument.
  13. HP L25500 spitting lines?

Are the lines the same color as the print? Green? if the are then it's probably a fiber that is dragging on the ink when it's still wet. You need to turn off the printer, take the head cleaning kit out. Then move the cart a bit to the left. At the right if the six heads theres another...
  14. Lx850 users

Well our printer is here and on perfect timing for a big job. Would like to know how you guys load your printer when printing dual rolls. Do you use the dual role pole on both sides, one side dual and other side regular pole or do you just use the regular pole on both sides and aline very...
  15. Which RIP to go for on my new HP LX260

Im running 4 HP latex printers in one computer with onyx 10 and getting great results. Onyx could be better but I cant complain, gets the job done well.
  16. Scrap and core disposal?

Yes you should be getting money on it. We used to get paid for all our cores and OCC. Now we cut out cores and use them to ship images for some national clients. Now we even need to buy some! By the way, cutting 200 cores in a simple saw should take no more than an hour. We cut 200 cores in...
  17. Hp 26500 vertical banding

Not the highest,, around 8-10 pass for most media. I like to use 12 pass for best quality and make the heads last longer. 12-16 pass for backlights and fabrics, sometimes 20 pass when very saturated reds, blacks, blues or greens. i think speeds are very descent for a 15-20k printer, good ROI...
  18. Hp 26500 vertical banding

Hi, How many passes are you using? Your are or laying to much ink or printing on way to low pass for that media. Also,, print in onyx the ink limit file,, the bigger the better. Most original profiles lay to much unesessary ink.
  19. Double Sided Window Clings

I do this : Print on clear mirror cling then screen print dense white then mount a regular vinyl over the white. the key is to play with the screen print white so is dense enought so light won't pass.
