  1. 4'x6' For Sale Sign

You probably don't want to use 8 footers. Here's a comparison of 10' vs 8'. Good proportions for this sign.
  2. Need Help Large Depth for Signs

Maybe where you live there are buildings made of things other than corrugated metal...around here when someone wants a flat sign mounted on the wall, it's almost invariably a corrugated metal building. And when we come across other kinds of buildings they almost never ask for a piece of ACM as...
  3. Need Help Large Depth for Signs

I've never had rainwater collect on the 2x4 when mounted on a corrugated metal building.
  4. Need Help Large Depth for Signs

The cheapest/easiest way is to mount three 2"x4" treated lumber stringers to the wall. Cut them to 92" long. Mount them so the top of the top one is 44" from the bottom of the bottom one. Screw the 4'x8' panel to those. The stringers will be 2" in from the edge, making the panel float 1.5" away...
  5. Bull Crap of the day

The red doesn't match your contour cut color does it?

  7. how do I print opaque black background for backlit signs

You can increase ink limits and ink density or double strike all you want and light will still come through it. A double layer print is better, but if it has to truly block all light you need to plotter cut black vinyl and apply it to the backside of the face.
  8. Rant Avery SuperCast 900 Gloss White . . . W . . . T . . .F?!?!?!?!

We use Avery 950, and have found that on the roll we bought this summer the white doesn't weed as well as the other colors. Increasing the pressure 1 gram (from 12 to 13) solved it though.
  9. PLASTIC CLEAR HOLDERS

Looks like those are marketed as Invisi standoffs. https://www.outwater.com/invisi-standoffs/
  10. Shaking ink cartridges

We've had our Epson since the S series first came out, what 6-7 years ago? Shake the cartridges according to schedule vigorously and never had air bubble problems.
  11. Corel gurus - I need you! Gradiants on edges

I do that effect by copying the shape to the clipboard, pasting it back, making a larger contour of it and combining the contour with the object. Then powerclip it inside the original object and make a glow shadow of it in the color you need.
  12. Monument font

The block letters look like Franklin Gothic.
  13. Fiberglass sign manufacturer wanted

That used to be a standard sign blank available from Fiber Brite. But they went out of business--ACM killed them. If I remember, you could do the radius corners with a standard corner rounding tool.
  14. Large quantity cut vinyl supplier

At the shop I managed before I went out on my own we did cut and assembled two color vinyl decals for a major marine satellite company. I have one of my former employees I had there, and the best man ever at doing that weeding and assembling has been begging me to hire him for several years. We...
  15. Has to be an easier way??

When you fit text to path, you can grab it and move it anywhere on the path you want, top or bottom of the path, plus there are invert and reverse buttons to move it to the other side of path and make it backwards and forwards. You can also pull it away from the path. The various distances are...
  16. Shaking ink cartridges

I have an Epson. The silver and white cartridges have to be shaken daily. Takes 15 seconds. The other colors (including orange) it's every three weeks. There's a sticker on the printer that says to. If you don't do the silver and white the printer will remind you on the display. And if those...
  17. Need Help Just a curious question about window perf laminate

Just price it appropriately and it's not a problem.
  18. No "convert fonts" options when doing a save as pdf?

All that blather from the so-called "Adobe scientist" sounds the same as Microsoft saying it's not a bug, it's designed behavior. Except Adobe sycophants (especially those that use Macs) drink the Kool Aid and believe everything they say. And why not, because in their world nobody uses anything...
  19. Need Help 80600 and wrap vinyl

If a weekend doesn't dry it, you are probably grossly overinking. Check your profiles.
  20. Need Help Just a curious question about window perf laminate

You laminate perf to install it on vehicle windows. If you don't, you can't see out when it rains. The rain fills the holes and obscures vision.
