Pics people!!! It helps so much better to see what you are doing!
Different techniques for different applications!
At 18x24 that is small but what are you are putting it on matters
What rip are you using?
How are you profiling?
Are you using any heat in lamination process?
You have so many open ended possible variables it is hard to say what the problem is
These are for outdoor and/or for a vehicle?
Calandered vinyl and lam + solvent inks + removable adhesive = failure...
You might want to look at getting (2) Synology drives. This way you can save all your files locally and also have a backup off site. I have 1 at my shop and 1 at home
I switched to this a few months back after my Drobo took a dump and we ended up loosing some files. Likely nothing truly...
Your shop rate X hours needed for survey. Plus travel time to and from.
Survey includes time need for filling out paperwork, organizing pics, etc
If they don’t want to pay your rate, oh well! Not worth the time to work for little return on your time!
I’m waiting for the day that everyone...

Well weMy to the garbage and pulled out the cut off end of laminated vinyl from other projects and used that. Run it around the signs, pulled a bit of the...
Just doing some quick math, $600-$700. Assuming you can get to it with minimal need for a ladder. Small step ladder at most.
If you need something like scaffolding or even a lift. That would add to the cost
I’d make sure that this is also allowed by your local sign code. In most cases...
Besides the printer I think you are missing a few other things
Laminator
Cutter (if current cutter is not big enough)
RIP software
Color spectrometer
Work tables of appropriate size (if needed)
Increase in inventory (cost associated)
Maintenance and repairs (as needed)
Waste ink (depending on...
Not familiar with Rolands but do you have your cut contour path on a separate layer?
We design in Illustrator and artwork is on separate layer(s) from our cut layer. Using Onyx we change the color from a process color to a spot color (using color pallet options) No problems
