  1. How would you make a banner with changable dates?

Usually I will print the banner and do the date in vinyl. Sometimes I will design the banner so the date is in a panel so the next year I can just print a new panel on vinyl to stick over the old date. Whatever you do make sure you tell them that you can change the date next year but if they...
  2. Comic Sans redone, it's great and it's free!

You, sir, are not capable of understanding greatness when you see it.

  4. Attach banners to work table

For years we'd just use the staple gun and staple the four corners down. You could stretch the banner drum tight doing it that way. Finish the banner, pop out the staples, then install grommets in the corners where the staple holes were.
  5. New Logo for fairly new sign company

One thing I did notice from your avatar was that the hand gripping the lightning bolt/wrench isn't gripping it. It goes behind the fist instead of through it. Was that intentional?
  6. New Logo for fairly new sign company

Soooo.....how'd you end up getting from this to that? The new logo is much, much better.
  7. Signs2Trade = AMAZING

You might want to send them flowers.
  8. What would you charge?

$1230 using trans. vinyl for all three colors.
  9. Signs2Trade = AMAZING

One of the few suppliers that I'll drop ship from and not worry about the quality the customer is going to receive. And they use happy tape to seal the boxes, that's worth the price of shipping by itself.
  10. what do you think of this method to cut aluminum composite

Quite frequently, it's not a big deal.
  11. Business Cards?

I have never looked at a gmail or yahoo account and thought to myself "That business must suck."
  12. What is the goofiest thing a customer has said to/requested of you?

An even better one.... Stoner kid with a juggalo attitude came in and wanted "F*** THE POLICE" (actually spelled out) and a big cannabis leaf stuck in his back window. I told him we didn't do window decals and he didn't want that anyway, the cops would be all over him for it. He went on a...
  13. What is the goofiest thing a customer has said to/requested of you?

Pool company sent a guy to pick up lettering for their truck doors. The guy picked them up, carried them out to the truck, then brought them back in and argued that one side was wrong. I looked at them, everything looked fine to me. He made me go out to the truck with him, he held the...

  15. why would a city spec gatorboard for simplistic info signs

Because somebody is trying to be overly specific to make sure you understand them but they don't know the correct terminology. I have people refer to coro as foam board and gator foam a few times a week.
  16. First Partial Wrap

The black lettering in the grass is impossible to read.
  17. What are you using to clean the glass for vinyl?

No....no it won't. Goo Gone is at the bottom end of adhesive removers.
  18. 4'x6' Diamond (Orajet 3651) on rivet-less trailer - wet or dry?

Do it wet, it'll be fine. You're not going to be fighting rivets or anything so it won't be a big deal. I love Rapid Tac but water/alcohol/soap will work, too.
  19. I laughed so hard I almost peed!

Did you ask him if his pricing was the reason he no longer owns an Edge?
  20. What fonts do you like using?

Helvetica, Graramond, Zaph Humanist, Neutraface, Futura Medium. Pretty much I'll use anything legible that has different font weights so I can break things up but keep them in the same family.
