  3. What made you smile today

Seeing that antifa is now Bidens problem to deal with and the dems blaming Trump for it is now out in the open as complete BS.
  4. Alternatives to backlit panel?

If it were me I would have two pans made and letter with regular vinyl to save them a dollar there instead of translucent.
  5. The Vaccine - you going to take it or no?

Both my daughters are nurses. If you saw what gear they have on to deal with covid victims you would know the masks the public wears are useless. I wear one just so I don't have to tell all the Karens out there to mind there own damn business. One of my daughters has not taken the vaccine. We...
  6. Vinyl wrinkles in Daige Solo Laminator Help?

When I used a daige in the past I always used a sled under entire piece I was running. Usually a sheet of thin pvc. Never used it for taping just laminating or mounting prints to solid substrate, lots of coro. Key was a good seam of tape at front edge to assure it started nice and flat. Made...
  7. Flex face wrinkle

Heat's not going to fix lack of tension. If it is not an adjustable frame setup for flex face you will have to remove screws and re-tension. And pray. Proper way is to use one mount in middle of all 4 sides and tension to 4 corners.
  8. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

All I did was copy and paste photo into signlab and then use th eyedropper tool to give me rgb values. I have found for me at least in the past that working in rgb instead of cmyk is much more on point.
  9. Die cutting graphics with application tape applied

Just get a tabletop guillotine paper cutter and set a stop. You should be able to fly thru them quickly once you get going.
  10. Looking for CHEAP printable vinyl

If you cheap out on that many pieces it will bite you in the a** if you have to do it again. I would be worried about shrinkage using cheap material and lam. Nothing like a call 3 or 4 months down the road telling you all these pieces are shrinking and the customer wanting them replaced.
  11. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

Try rgb instead of cmyk. 206,150,1 might be close enough to get a running start at it.
  12. 10mm coroplast cut tool?

I've done quite a bit of 10 mil with print applied. I cover with transfer tape to avoid damaging print and knock it out with a jigsaw and fine blade. A cutawl would be great too. I use a sanding block to quickly knock burrs off and peel tape. If you are not doing a lot of this kind of work jig...
  13. 3M™ MCS™ Warranty for Traffic Printer question

I did a ton of dot work many years ago. All hard signs were coated in reflective. All 3m. All screen printed. By spec. Outlasted and outperformed anything else at the time. Before anyone even heard of digital printers in any size shop. For short orders we would use vinyl graphic but not very...
  14. Small laser

Thinking about getting a small laser for the shop so I can make labels for my distillery from leather. Of course it would be nice to add some products to our offerings for sign shop customers as well. What does everyone have or recommend and whose product should I avoid? Thanks
  15. Black vinyl

Just thought it was strange. Stranger yet the 50 bucks I saved for same two products from my normally secondary vendor. Hmmmmm
  16. Black vinyl

I go through a fair amount of basic colors in oracal 651 for general stuff, nothing fancy. Last two times I have needed a roll of black, none in stock anywhere. So much for being the world's largest wrap provider. No problem with another vendor, in stock. Just kind of surprises me.
  17. So.... What is everyone going to do for Thanksgiving?

Same thing we've been doing for 36 years. Nothing to see here.
  18. Suggestions Looking for a........................................

Never really like them. My tables are covered in galvanized pans. 21 years old and still working like a champ. They have been painted on, cut on, hammered on, glued on, everything I can build indoors has been on these tables. Magnet sticks to it making holding things down or working on magnetic...
  19. White back removable window graphic

Static cling leaves no glue residue at all ;-)
  20. Discussion What is different?

Which is why I no longer own a big printer.
