  1. 52in Foot Shear

Panel and table saw for acm is the way to go. As for 080 on a stomp shear, I have a very old 52 inch shear and I'm a big boy. 080 is double tough. takes a synchrinized duo, lol.
  2. STUcK...Rowland VersaCamm VP 540i....STUcK

Do not ever buy a used machine that you cannot see run or have a nozzle check in hand. If it sat for three years with no carts it's most likely toasted to the point of costing more to fix than it is worth. Trade it in on a new one and get the discount for trade in and you'll have a nice new...
  3. Best option for printing onto aluminum blanks in scale?

I just saw a reel last night on a new flatbed that can sight read your blank position on belt and place art on each piece, kind of like some of the better lasers. The demo showed a fist full of guitar picks just randomly tossed on belt and machine found and printed each one where they were as...
  4. Opinion Screen-printed shirts - Quality check on aisle 3

Agree with previous poster. First off not a good print. Then, of course, the shirt is not fully cured which results in what you are seeing. Been screen printing t shirts 43 years now, I've pretty much seen it all. ( famous last words, lol)
  5. Opinion Screen-printed shirts - Quality check on aisle 3

That's because that is a patch for a problem during curing. Also a no no.
  6. Holographic Window Film as seen in London - New Bond Street

Looks like printed holographic vinyl at a glance. I would imagine the big suppliers have something like it in stock.
  7. How Should I Apply?

I would try to suggest a printed film, not perf on outside. Does not affect tint, and is opaque like styrene. Styrene is not a long term permanent anything. Too bad he already tinted could have done second surface and gotten a real sexy look.
  8. Weeding small labels

I bought a small vinyl printer just for this type of job. I have a couple customers who order tons of small labels loaded with type. Print, lam, cut, ship. Machine paid for itself in 2 months. Just think of all that labor you will save on to be used for other jobs and increase profits. Not only...
  9. Decal stock advice

I would get an aggressive vinyl and laminate to match.
  10. What's wrong with this poster...................................................................... ??

I'd drink right in front of them so none of those heifers got any ideas.
  11. UV Printable Acoustic Panels

can you print phototex? might be an option.
  12. What is the quickest way to screen print on Hi Vis Jackets?

You answered your own question as long as the quantity is appropriate for screen printing. Onesie twosie gets heat press.
  13. Weeding reflective

+1 it needs to be weeded right after cutting. It should have been sent to you as RTA.
  14. Roland brand SL-CL Cleaner questions...

I haven't bothered to open a used cart in years but last time I did it was an oem seiko cart with a nazdar bag in it.
  15. Need Help EstiMate - won't renew

Been using it for years but once it went monthly we never updated and have been using whatever version was before it went to subscription. If I weren't nearing time to go fishing and stay there for me I might consider something else but honestly we were doing well before we ever used software...
  16. versaworks and roland bn-20 ink problem

Magenta has been a problem with wide format printers since the first one made. I think it has to do with solid content in formulation. I had a seiko that oem magenta almost caused a total head failure, switched to nazdar inkset and it cleared up and ran 5 more years till machine reached end of...
  17. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

If you intend to laminate it still has to go out and come back in to be cut. I have been using plotters since early 90's. Voice of experience. This thing couldn't cut a clean corner if it had to.
  18. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

Bought a small roland for small labels I do a ton of. The one year warranty should be just about up. Had 1300$ worth of non covered repair already. It is a print/cut machine and has the worst plotter I have ever used in it. Prints very nice but I now use my graphtec for cutting the prints from...
  19. Self healing Cutting Table life expectancy

I have been using tables with a galvanized metal pan bent to fit over the top for 30 years. Still doing just fine and magnetic sticks to it.
