Find a local hazardous waste company. They will drop off a 55 gallon drum. You call when its full and they come swap it out. We used to do the litter deal but with 9 printers now that was taking too long. I think the last time they picked up we paid $350.00 for the disposal.
We ran a JFX200 for 3 years. Great machine. We only upgraded to get more speed. If I had the room I would have just added more JFX200's. Little to no maintenance.
With what you listed as doing UV would not be the best fit for you. UV is great for substrates. The only real advantage of UV roll to roll would be if you needed white ink.
i would find a heavy duty double sided tape not carpet tape. Of course I would just outsource these anyway. You can find plenty of suppliers that will print large banners that have grommets and heat sealed seams for $1/sqft. Not worth the time to print in house and tape them. I only print...
The only problem with dumping more ink is it will look dark during the day. There is not real good solution for that outside of printing it normal on the 1st surface then printing second surface on clear. Registration is tough this way though. Or find your self a wholesale printer that can...
routing aluminum can wear your bits pretty quick. Do you have some type of lubrication system when routing it? Anytime we start getting rougher edges on our Zund we change the bit and all is good again.
Under fills there is a check box for Uniform Color Fill. Click in the box to put a check mark and then click on the words. I will highlight it all blue and in the box to the right it will bring up the selections. Click the down arrow next to the color and the eyedropper will be there.
I would outsource it. For as cheap as you can get them it doesn't make any sense to do it in house. You may print for $0.50/sqft but your time trimming and finishing the banner wont make it worth it.
The 16H is a hybrid and no ventilation on that either. I can run that thing 8 hours straight sitting right next to it with no issues. Out of all our machines the eco solvent is the one that if it runs for long period of times it smells but nothing else.
it surprising how bad some of the UV printers can smell. We run 2 EFI UV Printers and can run them both all day and not produce a smell that needs special ventilation or filtering. The building these run in along with our Eco Solvent and UV roll to roll is 2,500 sq ft so not a huge building.
We print them without an issue with our flatbed. Print a 40% color pass then 100% white the 100% color pass. Our signs have been up for 5 years and still look good. We print on the backside so that helps also. If you wanted you could run them through the laminator for added longevity and...
Printing white ink for a wrap would be pointless. It will take 2-3x longer to print and add a ton more cost. I would get samples of all the wrap materials and pick the brightest one that works for you. Once you add lam the white wont be as bright either.
