  1. Real quick survey.....................

I would wager he never said "I'll pay you $XXX.XX to give me the exact dimensions of the sign face", correct? If so, there's no way I would give them to him because there's no reason he needs that "for his files" at this given moment. When the job is complete? Sure, then I'd give him...
  2. how to install very tall lighted sign on posts HELP

The scary thing is there are people everywhere that sell 'stickers' and try to install pylons. ...know when to walk away...

  4. Little Giant Lunar ladder...

Agreed! My DeWalt oscillating tool came today as well. Good way to start the weekend. :) Yeah, they're really handy. I have the Werner version and it's a bit heavy (wish I had the Little Giant, it's about 10 pounds lighter). Mine is the 22' (actual height is about 18'-9").
  5. Busy week with a little bit of everything

Awesome work, as always. :thumb: That Brunswick sign is nice.
  6. Little Giant Lunar ladder...

In the off chance anyone is in the market for an extension ladder, I'm really impressed with this. 28' (25' extended...the "28'" is the working height) Fiberglass/resin rails (up to 25% lighter than other extension ladders) Wire cable hooks (might never use them, but nice to have them as an...
  7. how to install very tall lighted sign on posts HELP

Your numbers are off. You should really sub this out or defer to someone that knows what they're doing.
  8. how to install very tall lighted sign on posts HELP

Sub it out to someone that knows what they're doing, would be my suggestion. I used to live in Fulton... Can't say I miss it.

  10. For the DeWalt fans...

A million things. Once you have one, you'll wonder what you did without it. I do installations, so it'll get used plenty.
  11. For the DeWalt fans...

Just a heads-up, the 20v oscillating tool is now available. Just ordered mine, but the only place I could find it is Acme Tools. The price for the kit is supposed to be $199 but they have it marked down to $169. The bare tool is at it's normal price of $129. It's definitely worth $40 more for...
  12. Post "YOUR" business logo

Love numbers 6 and 7....great work. I really like this as well...clever implementation of the brush. Man, I've always liked your current logo. It's very memorable. I like it much better than the others.
  13. Employee Woes

It isn't a big deal to her because it doesn't affect her. I'm OCD about spelling, records, data entry, etc. Why? Because I'm a one-man show and if I mess up - I suffer the results. She's messing up but isn't suffering the results. She messes up, gets talked to about it, collects her check and...
  14. Cordless tool combo, what you like?

Understood, Gino. I had the same problems with the old Ni-Cad batteries, but just assumed that was the case with all pre-lithium batteries. If you haven't tried lithium, you might want to. And nice pun lol...
  15. A starting point...

"Graphics" disappears on that background. I'm not a designer by the way...just pointing out things that don't seem to mesh well.
  16. Cordless tool combo, what you like?

Gotchya. I guess I haven't noticed any issues with quality. I use mine extensively and literally have had zero issues. If I were starting over though, I would purchase the Milwaukee Fuel line. They definitely have their act together. Their new impact wrench is pretty amazing. 700 ft-lbs...
  17. A starting point...

To me, with both the word "graphics" and the ampersand being red, it looks like the ampersand is the last "letter" of the word "graphics". Harder to read than it should be IMO.
  18. Cordless tool combo, what you like?

With the performance of cordless tools being almost the same (or better in some cases) as corded tools anymore, I can't imagine using corded tools, extension cords, generators, etc. If it's an expense issue, I would imaging the initial expense of going cordless would quickly be offset by the...
  19. Need some help with Foam Letters for a sign

2" is pretty much standard. And if they wanted to mimic the look of a channel letter, they would want to be around 4" or 5" deep, but that would require gluing pieces together.
