  1. Ink rubbing off issues!

Amen. If you do not know about lamination, you are a farrrrr ways out from trying to wrap a car. Read up on the forum here on techniques and equipment, and get setup to do it right.
  2. Ink rubbing off issues!

Are you trying to install immediately or are you letting the ink dry? Ink needs to dry a bit you know. Also, what is the application? For almost every application you need laminate over the top, which would erase this problem.
  3. need advice on painting plastic?

Meh, fusion would work. Don't know how it'll handle the vinyl though. I used to use Bulldog adhesion promoter, then mix in a flex agent to automotive paint, and use a good 2 part clear coat over the top. Works like a charm.
  4. frosted hell.

Frosted? You're nuts bro, 110% nuts. About the only time I ever go wet, is window tint and frosted. I'd rather slit my wrists than do a big panel dry, so props to you to keeping your health while doing it. That would be called the center hinge technique. That's how I do 90% of my installs...
  5. Recognize this art?

Cost you a few bucks but I'm sure you could get something very close. As indicated by Crystal, he just got a bunch of stock art and arranged it together. You can do the same. Buy some quality skulls, heraldry style artwork, some splatters and arrange them together (and throw in some red dots for...
  6. I don't Print 16x4

Printing off a 16' x 4' rectangle....is NOT how you wrap a sport bike lol. Hire a designer and print in panels. If you're green around the ears with wrapping vehicles, turn down that job and get some practice in. If you have some wraps under your belt, just take your time, lay down piece by...
  7. Gun threads

Well since we're talking about likes, I like Crown on the rocks while watching a good boxing match. Did I get off topic enough to post too?
  8. accepting credit cards II (non swipers)

Intuit works well for me. Even if you don't swipe, their rates have been very consistent. I'm still new with them (couple months) but have liked what I have seen so far! No BS, no confusing 4 page statements, no varying rates.
  9. "going back to school bro"

Colorado is like the new warden.
  10. The expense of our machines and Christmas Cards

You're bringing emotions into business. Not always a dandy combo. It's one of those things that is "nice" to get and often appreciated, but should never be expected.
  11. Gun threads

We also have an insanely larger amount of people over here. The US grossly dwarfs Norway in area and population. We have almost 5x more deaths per 100,000 people in the US, however 65% of those are suicide! One thing people don't notice is our suicide rates are the scary ones, we have a pretty...
  12. Gun threads

Military grade weapons pretty much ARE illegal. You cannot go purchase full auto's, grenades, bazooka's etc. from a gun store. Yes you can still find ways to get your hands on a AR 15 without getting your hands dirty, but I could do just as much damage with a pair of 9's so it's a mute point. As...
  13. Cutting strip replacement

It's basically like a decal. You can get them from most graphtec suppliers (they RARELY list them for sale, but they can all get them very easily), or I use some 12mil hardened laminate in a pinch and just cut it to the same size, stuck it down, and it worked! Cyber sounds like he has them in...
  14. 36" calandered air release?

I was assuming he was contour cutting. To do so with an ARMS system I like to leave 2" on each side to be safe. Just printing though, 1" is more than enough and then some room for whip cream and a cherry on top.
  15. 36" calandered air release?

What about flipping it? Or is the smallest width 34" With that said.. how are you going to contour cut with only 1" on each edge? Even with bomb sight that's going to be pretty hard to try to pull off. With that said, I'd just get some rolls cut down. Like cut down a 60, to a 38, leaving you...
  16. Another sick lunatic in the USA

Well I agree. Your image describes it exactly! Someone gets shot by a gun...first reaction...TAKE ALL THE GUNS AWAY NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! Surprised no one is talking about the guy in China who walked through a school just stabbing people?? They caught that guy though, no suicide for him.
  17. Rust-oleum as a Spray Laminate?

True automotive clear WOULD work, yes. Dabbled with it a little and it did alright. However the question comes up.....WHY!? If you do not have the space to put a 1' x 3' x 4' laminator...how do you have space to have a spray booth? A laminator is faster, cleaner, more professional and produces...
  18. A few more things I've been up to lately.

Go have drink some green tea and come back. lol.:toasting:
  19. A few more things I've been up to lately.

As a buddy, I must tell you that's a totally absurd way of doing business. How are you still in business? Logos can come from any possible source, and just because someone creates a logo, it doesn't mean they retain rights to it. It is good to ask of course, but when Adidas called me to make...
  20. A few more things I've been up to lately.

What he did was far from playing dirty. He went off a card with the logo, made it up for the window, done and done. If you have an issue, I'd suggest taking him up on his offer to call him! :cool1:
