I keep reading "normal levels of optimiser"???what is a normal level? The level selected from the downloaded profile? It may not be normal for your lot/environment. Heat temps on 10 pass at 235 degrees...never. Way too hot.
25-30 optimiser
200-215 degrees heat on 8-10 pass..
what are the ink...
Just went through this decision myself last week...had a backup drive fail....fortunately it was a backup...went with a 12TB Gtech Studio drive RAID 10...cuts my storage in half but I maintain performance...that was most important to me...I can always add more storage.
You are printing/purging what you are paying for...there is extra ink in the box beyond what you are paying for to enable you to have an accurate cost per sq'. The profiler will allow you to run its counter to -20% (negative...less than zero/20% more than you paid for)
So yes..."every drop" not...
You cannot source profilers anywhere...HP bought Colorspan specifically for that technology. HP guarantees that you will be able to run 3liters of ink through your printer. They specifically add more to the box to cover any incidents like vacuum issues or services that waste ink that cannot be...
Check your heater settings...even on downloaded profiles...temps too hot. Typically around 240 degrees...you are cooking the material you are using. Adhesive vinyl 210-215 degrees...banner 215-220...photo paper 190-195....
In the clean Printhead section, I believe there is a diagnostic plot that can be run that will show you how many NOZZELS are not firing on the heads...
Windows has become a headache...disable widows firewall, disable any anti virus, go to UA Accounts under user profiles and pull scroll bar down to minimum...reboot.
On installer right mouse click "run as administrator" it should work
Have your operator keep scrap pieces of adhesive vinyl near the printer...use a squeegee apply over ink and rip off...quite effective.
I'm looking for the name brand...we used Micro Wipes with success as well...anyone that tells you simple green will work is wrong
Edge guards are typically used to prevent this from happening...check your heater settings...specifically curing temp...probably too high causing media buckle...
It's warmer out these days...check curing temp before vacuum...less 5 degree intervals until media settles...if the vacuum was fine last week..it should be fine today...
Table height too high/laminator too low? Just build a platform for the laminator or...cut down and re-use the pallet that was used for shipping.
your laminator(if you have the space) never has to be moved...
I'm curious what "long run consistency" is supposed to do...the printer uses thermal heads that are not designed for long runs at all...I have never had any issues running in 2.5-3 hour bursts and letting the printer sit for 10 minutes before starting next run...HP said the runs can be longer...
