  1. Come to mind recently.....................................................................................

I tend to agree with you Gino. I've seen a lot of stupid printer questions lately, especially ones that I've already answered recently, then the next day, someone else is asking the same one again, too lazy to read the forums or search, I guess. In regards to you mentioning that it isn't just...
  2. Need Help Roland technician

Can't help you with a technician, but if you contact your local dealer they may be able to assist, unless it's an older model that is end of life, meaning no Roland certified Tech will touch it. Perhaps if you let us know what model you have and what the problem is, along with some photos...
  3. looking for parts for roland sp540v , SP-300 Ink Junction Board LF - W8406050B0

sign-in-china.com might have it as well.
  4. Roland XC-540 possible bearing problem, grinding

    Thanks for the update.
  5. SG2 640 Not Printing Yellow After Clean

Sounds like either the damper is failing / failed and letting the black over to the yellow side or there is damage to the head. Take a peak at the yellow damper and see if there is black ink in it. Also could be the cap top if you haven't replaced recently, you could start by replacing the cap...
  6. "UNRECOVERABLE LIMIT SENSOR" error. Can't run limit inititalizing procedure.

I would clean both the encoder strip and sensor, then try the limit initialization again. If it keeps giving you issues you could replace both, neither are very expensive, should be able to get them at sign-in-china.com
  7. Versacamm SP-300V

Apart from what was advised above, you could clean the encoder strip and sensor and see if that helps, but as mentioned, typically when you get that error, it's the cable.
  8. VP540i Color Printing problem

Looks like it's putting too much Magenta down. I have this issue with my VS-300i and to correct it, I just take out some Magenta in the color adjustment in Versaworks, has worked so far, and I've been doing it since I got the machine.
  9. Ink not drying fast enough

Could be due to aging of the machine, could be a bad batch of ink.
  10. "UNRECOVERABLE LIMIT SENSOR" error. Can't run limit inititalizing procedure.

I'm not 100% familiar with your model, but the encoder sensor is the one that runs over the encoder strip. It would make sense that the limit sensor would be on the cutting carriage, as, at least on my SP-300V, it is only the cutting carriage that does the limit initialization. Maybe to...
  11. VP540i Color Printing problem

It wouldn't change right away, as you'd need to use up the ink the the lines, you could always pull down with a syringe to get the ink from the other cartridge to the head, but as they are the same color, you probably won't really be able to tell the difference.
  12. VP540i Color Printing problem

Not a chip problem, but rather the ink pigment itself. I've had that problem with 3rd party inks in the past.
  13. "UNRECOVERABLE LIMIT SENSOR" error. Can't run limit inititalizing procedure.

Try cleaning both the sensor and the encoder strip and retry, if you've not already done that.
  14. VP540i Color Printing problem

You have lots of deflection in that nozzle test, however that wouldn't be why it would change, my guess is the cartridge, have you recently changed the Magenta cartridge, it wouldn't happen right away after changing, as it takes a little for the ink from the cartridge to reach the head once...
  15. Banding issue - Help needed please?

Then that is very strange, as if it's losing ink / dropping out, there should be evidence. The only other place I could think of an air leak would be between the dampers and head. Did you use OEM parts or 3rd party?
  16. Banding issue - Help needed please?

When it drops out like that, have you looked at the lines to see if they lost ink, as this does look like ink starvation.
  17. SP-300V

By Color Correction, I assume you mean to uncheck the box for adjustments under the color adjustment tab in Versaworks?
  18. good nozzles have dropped out.

Could potentially be the cap top if it's old.
  19. SP-300V

My SP-300V's do the same, typically I can adjust this by playing with the speed and heat settings. I'm not sure what media you're trying to print on, but some are typically harder to get nice prints on then others.
