actually..... there is NO amount that seems reasonable, if you were not made aware of the expenses in advance. how can you decide if it's worth it to you, for them to come out, if the bill is open-ended?

that works for the location notes, but what you have to document a hundred signs?
my partner does rough illustrations of the main signs which we then recreate once back in the office, for the formal presentations.
he's old school so he doesn't mind... but i'm determined to find a faster easier...
I've been trying out several apps but can't seem to find just the right one to assist with sign surveys. I'd really like to take advantage of using an iPad to photograph, measure and make notations. Quite a while back someone posted about the My Measure app and that's one that works pretty well...

i have a guilloitne/stack cutter and thought it was overkill for my needs sometimes, so i bought a rotary for the quickie stuff. took it back and bought another thinking i needed to spend a little more and get a bit better quality... took that one back too. i've decided i'm ok with overkill :thumb:
i wouldn't go without laminate on ANYTHING outside... and even with the lam i wouldn't guarantee it for 3 years.
fades resistant for UP TO 3 YEARS doesn't mean you won't see any fading UNTIL 3 years... but at least with the laminate you'll have a chance of less fading in the first 2 years.

i just sent out a quote on a job (although not a big one) fully spec'ed with all the call-outs, the client could have the sign fabricated without every coming back to me. i'd be a little worried that i haven't heard back from him yet......

the white background is a hassle but there's no fixing the poor image quality. what i find most frustrating of all is... knowing there's a nice clean vector file somewhere (or at least there was at some point) but no one knows where it is. the crappy jpg they save but the useful...
