  1. Completely washed out backlit panels

I would go ahead and try the translucent print on the front surface. Might work. Might have a ghosting.
  2. Never come across this before....................

I don't think there is a contracted form of Spanish Braille.
  3. Completely washed out backlit panels

Best way to do these is two prints. We also use an Epson. Use translucent white plastic. Print once on clear, apply that directly to the plastic. Print the exact same file on translucent white vinyl and laminate with UV clear. Apply that directly over the clear print. Registration is easy if you...
  4. Never come across this before....................

As long as the vendor has Spanish braille fonts, they should be able to reproduce it. If they want to do it manually, they can Wikipedia Spanish Braille and see what to use for the special characters. They have a chart. I would put the text of the Spanish wording onto the customer. Just as they...
  5. In need of a little font ID help

Actually wasn't it called Parry Hotter? That's what the font I have is called that looks like that.
  6. Never come across this before....................

This is kind of like the question I have with the drive-through ATM at the bank having braille on it.
  7. What would you have quoted for this boat vinyl + install?

It should also go without saying, that the customer also escaped paying state sales tax by registering with the Coast Guard instead of licensing with their state. 7.25% of $250,000, or even $80,000, is a chuck of change. The charge for putting the name on the boat is negligible compared to what...
  8. What would you have quoted for this boat vinyl + install?

We do about a half dozen boats a week in season, or more. That boat should be done in cut HP vinyl, not printed. It would be priced at our flat rate, $250 plus tax. Nothing about it to add to the price. If there is vinyl or adhesive removal, that starts at $30. We are located about a half mile...
  9. Need Help Yard Sign Blanks in Tennessee

If you buy 1100 or more, Grimco has them for 77 cents
  10. Vehicle Window Perf

Clear Focus is the best perf we have found. In addition, for vehicle windows, it's available in appropriate size rolls. Big material waste if you have to use a 54" roll for truck windows. Every other brand of perf we've used has really been inferior as far as adhesion, adhesive characteristics...
  11. Vehicle Window Perf

Then what would you use on vehicles? 50/50 is the largest holes, giving the best visibility. It's the 60/40 or 70/30 that you're not supposed to use on vehicles..
  12. UPS

Are you using UPS Worldship? If so, it can validate addresses before you print the label. I used to get dinged for dimensions because I guessed wrong. Now I measure recycled boxes and I know the dimensions of our stock boxes and never get dinged for dimensions. What I've noticed is a sharp...
  13. Vehicle Window Perf

Don't squeegee too hard. But also realize that unless you squeegee so hard you stick the lam to the glass through the holes, after some time in the sun and cooling overnight the squeegee marks go away. We use ClassicVue and Avery DOL1360 Optically Clear.
  14. USPS Craziness

USPS has dropped their delivery time claims. That said, we've been getting things in that USPS delivered and they came on time. I suppose it depends on where you are. Even before COVID USPS's tracking was useless. It would show package not picked up until after delivery, and then it would change...
  15. Sign Post and Panel

Why would you put a $50 coroplast sign in a $200 frame? 4Ever Products is what your picture shows.
  16. American made hats - structured with mesh back?

    Cali Headwear US03
  17. Freaking Stupid Dell botches the new XPS 17

No, it apparently cannot do that according to the article I read.
  18. Freaking Stupid Dell botches the new XPS 17

I did a little search for the problem, and it appears that there is something more wrong with this system that is causing it to use a lot of power and indeed people are discharging the battery playing games. They did design it to have to do short power draws from the battery, but not anywhere...
  19. new one from portugal

Welcome. Never been to Portugal, but have seen and enjoyed its architectural and culinary influence in Macao. Egg tarts and bacalhau for the win!
  20. Question New epson s40600 owner needs help

The USB I think is really only meant for hooking to a service laptop for updates/testing/maintenance. So it probably keeps the printer awake so it doesn't go to sleep mid-update.
