  1. Roland Plotter Setup Woes w/ Gerber

not sure if i can help you, but i run omega software with a 15" sprocket fed, a 24" friction fed and a Gerber Edge. i currently have all three machines spooling from different computers because it's the only way i've been able to figure out how to get them to all work. it's crazy, but i total...
  2. Looks like a font

it looks like an auto-trace of a bad picture of a font. there are lots of bits that look super familiar, but then they don't match other parts. i would grab something that's similar and make it look right.

  6. Need Help cant type text into composer 7.0

what font are you using? does it only have numbers? if you're entering text on the work surface, there should be a toolbar to change the font. if you're using the text entry box, hit F3 and change to a standard font (arial, futura etc) and see if you still have the problem.
  7. Fuzzy barcodes

i'm not familiar with your machine, but if it prints correctly in one direction and not in the other, is there a chance that the material isn't laying flat? is there a buckle that is causing it to be closer to the print head and therefore it gets blurry?
  8. DTG printing advice

i had a dtg years ago. in fact, it might still be in our back storage area somewhere. as a company that is mainly B2B as well, the dtg just didn't work for us. the quality is subpar compared to screen printing. the maintenance was ridiculous. we were wasting more ink doing the daily...

  11. gemini????

I usually use their online estimator for projects and then save them off so i can just submit that once it becomes an order. i haven't really experienced any delay. even when i needed a quote on some custom items, it was a couple days and I got my reply. try reaching out to your rep. make a...
  12. Clear vinyl issue on edge fx

i've had this happen as well on my edge. 9 out of 10times, it's just easier to do what you're doing. home it, manually rewind the roll, insert next color and repeat until its done. it could be something as simple as the punch being just slightly off. it could be the backer getting worn out...
  13. Bad Install Experience...

personally, i wouldn't have suggested going over existing graphics. it's just asking for trouble. not only will you see any imperfection from that layer, but if that vinyl fails, so does yours. but i get having to work within a client's budget.
  14. Hovering Clients

I am really happy that our production area is out of view from the main counter area. We did a redesign of our workspace about 8 years ago, and it has helped us keep client's on THEIR side of the counter. Before, they would just follow us back to our desks or the work table. Which I always...
  15. Suggestions Business Insurance covering auto graphics

I have HMK insurance. One thing i learned when we switched, make sure that they have anyone that will be driving the vehicles covered on the insurance. We have to drive vehicles onto the road and around the building to our garage bays. If i had got in an accident during that drive, it...
  16. Cost effective outdoor plates for e.g. memorial benches?

depends on the expected life you want. if it's going on a bench or something similar that's gonna be out there "forever" get a brass plate engraved. if its more temporary, i've done black on clear Edge prints applied to brass plates that have lasted super long.
