i've heard that can happen when you use free versions of commercials fonts that aren't copied properly. but, you know, i wouldn't know ANYTHING at all about that since i always purchase fonts needed for those small, PITA jobs that i make almost nothing on. so, this information is definitely...
I've had this happen sometimes when i scaled up text that was super small (1" or smaller) to the size on the vehicle (4"+). my software was doing it, so i got into a habit of double clicking the text to edit it, not change it, but allow it to reset it self. solved the problem for me every...
have you tried printing the same file with gerber foil and vinyl? i've had that solve the problem in the past AND its the first question gerber tech will ask when you call.
i've found that some gerber foils dont print well on generic vinyls too. i had a tomato red foil that i couldn't print...
i've been experiencing similar issues. i waited four or five months for some king blue. i've honestly started switching to alternate brands that i can reliably get
don't price based off what they bring you in the future. price based off what they're bringing you now. they could order 400 now and realize it's too much, then drop the qty next month to 200 and expect you to honor the same price if that's how you've quoted it.
if they keep coming back for...
i have a 4x8 table with a cut mat on it. the grid is printed direct onto my cut mat, but ive had the kind you have before. honestly, five years is a good run for a cut mat. they're not gonna last forever. it's one of those items that's included in the 15% miscellaneous charge you should be...
if you don't want to do a crappy job, then remove the vinyl or make a sign that is attached to the trailer instead of graphics. the reason is two fold. first, it's gonna look like shit no matter what you do to that vinyl. whether you sand it or go over top. second, and probably more...
okay. i've been using them for well....over a decade now. sure there are some mistakes here and there, but i'd get that with any vendor. as for quality, i know what to expect going in the doors because i'm educated on materials. if you're not, you may be disappointed in what you receive.
i run an Edge and that doesn't look like and Edge print to me. what i'm seeing is a solid colored yellow stripe with black border striping. The "ribbon" section looks like a black and yellow print on white. looks like there's a seam at the bottom where they swap out the yellow vinyl for the...
that would be hand drawn. you can tell by comparing the two "e"s. they're different in a couple different ways. there are probably some free fonts out there that are kinda close or will give a similar feel.
okay. that makes total sense now. thank you. i'm thinking they're printing on like a white or colored translucent and i was totally lost. i prefer not to print box signs because it always seems so washed out, so i was a little out of my depth on this one. <3 thanks.
i don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but what is the use of this? translucent vinyl is for sign boxes and/or internally illuminated signs, yes? so why would you want that vinyl printed on both sides? or am i missing something?
I haven't. I've used it on reflective blanks and on glass windows, but not on vehicles. on the glass windows i did two layers, and they've been up a couple years now with no issues. they were gym windows of a high school, so they get direct sun for most of the day.
Oracal has a transparent line, their 8300 series. i've used them before. it's a thicker material but you should be able to achieve the look you're going for.
