  1. blocky serif similar to Rockwell

Not sure on the font, but the "c"s are both different from each other and the rest of the text. If you've tried an online font ID, take those letters out?
  2. Applying Vinyl to Wallpaper

Good afternoon everyone! We've hit a bit of a dilemma in our shop with an installation that went pear shaped. So I'm coming to the professionals. ;) Here's the job, so far: 3M prints from Signs 365 with matte laminate were applied to a wallpapered wall at the business. It's a large, full...
  3. Printing Halftones on Edge 2

I almost always print with Fine Dot because it's not as "dotty," but it's a halftone, so it's going to happen.
  4. Will 1"thick Excel Expanded PVC Warp With Exterior Use?

I wouldn't mount with just tape and silicone. 1" PVC is pretty heavy.
  5. January 20, 2020

So that begs a question. What is the cost of the 2019 and expected cost of the 2020 upgrade? Combined, are they more or less that what a full blown version will be in two or three years? I've never felt the need to upgrade Corel every year. Instead I wait a few years and then just grab the...
  6. Everyone Finally Moved Over ?

Same! It's the system we use to run our embroidery machine. The software doesn't really like newer versions of Windows.
  7. Everyone Finally Moved Over ?

Just updated my system in December to Win 10 and I run the Gerber software and equipment off it. No hiccups yet.
  8. Anyone else disturbed..

Well, it is slightly related. Since oil has gone up an average of 4%, that will effect costs on MANY of the items we purchase for our signs. XD
  9. Anyone else disturbed..

It's sh!t like this that p!sses people off and we end up paying for it. Or our kids will pay for it. Or grandkids. We paid for the actions of our military getting involved where it didn't belong on September 11, 2001. It'll happen again. I'm not anti-American. Quite the opposite. But we...
  10. Static Window Clings

I believe they're referring to the dual view window clings
  11. Question Vinyl type question

Call a professional instead of trying to cut corners and save a few bucks. You're going to waste more money getting the right setup and going through the trial and error of figuring out how to apply the vinyl. Get a professional.
  12. What's the deal with this logo?

I have Corel X8. I could open the file and see what it looks like if you want. I've found that PDFs tend to export better than AI and EPS from Corel.
  13. Please Help...

Clarendon was my first guess too. Or a Rockwell, but I think the Clarendon Rs turn up like that.
  14. Vinyl Lettering Not Sticking to Spray Painted Bus Van

When I get a truck that is chalky from the paint being a century old, I spray carburetor cleaner on just as I'm getting ready to apply the vinyl, wipe it with a clean towel and apply the graphics. Sticks great and it's cheap. Might be worth a shot.
  15. Need Help Have never done this before..............................

No but it works like a double sided print. One is printed in reverse, with a blockout layer and then the forward facing print. I use the dualview decals from 365 for a mall that wants to have holiday hours listed for people coming in and leaving. We make new ones for them every year with the...
  16. Design Request Guide/Form

    This is what I use.
  17. Design Request Guide/Form

I have different order forms depending on the job. Signs, Apparel, Electrical/Service work. I used to have all the check boxes and such, but got rid of them ages ago because I wasn't filling them out. Now it's pretty basic. Company info, job description area (for standard signs form), quote...
  18. WTB: 3M Gerber HP 220 Eucalyptus 15" Punched vinyl ANY LENGTH

Just something to keep in mind for the future when there really is none left, you might be able to Spectratone it and get a close match. That would ensure that the color is the same every time it's printed because it wouldn't be a process color. I'd be happy to get you the closest matches if...
  19. Substrate Cutter needed - Recommendations?

I just have a panel saw, table saw and a 3ft shear. Works great for most projects. If I'm not comfortable with cutting the material here, I just have a supplier cut it for me.
  20. Removable Cut Vinyl

Oracal 631. It's like paint mask when it comes off.
