I get the printable stuff form Nikkalite and it has worked awesome!! They also just came out with an air egress version and it was like half the cost of everyone else.
It has a router attachment (two different versions actually), which will do whatever I need it to. I have used it to route many different materials. Another shop I know of just routed out a bunch of 20mm thick acrylic letters. It is very capable.
I love my Summa F Series! The only thing I wish it could do would be 2.5D routing (ex. made a piece of plastic look like wood grain). Otherwise it has done everything I could need it to do. I'd buy another one without question.
The humidity would be affecting it in general, not just 10pass.
That just sounds like a setup issue, whether in the printer or software, I am not 100% sure. I have been told by everyone the the AL RIP it comes with is total crap. I use Caldera with mine.
Do you have any images you can post of...
That was all found during the install. Mine has been working great. I will admit it can be very finicky!! Proper humidity is huge!! I have it in a large room where I work. ~1600 square feet with 12' ceilings. I have humidifiers running non stop, especially during the winter. Static is a killer...
I have also found, via tip from my tech, that if it is acting up, do (3) sending adjusts back to back. For some reason, that function is like the magic reset button. haha
I have battery backups on all of mine. I actually have (2) per Epson Surecolor then (1) on my Fuji Acuity. They have been a lifesaver. Even with power surges, or goes off for just long enough to make everything shutoff, it keeps them from shutting off during a print. I know I wouldn't be able to...
The best samples I have ever received are from the SwissQ lineup. But you are looking at $200+ with those. I have the Fuji Acuity LED1600. It's been great although I haven't printed on plywood yet.
I found the QE30 online, but haven't seen the QE10. I can't remember where I saw it either. I know it was brought up on a different post. I have the same printer and dread the day I have to replace a head!
For those with a Summa F, how do you adjust the routing depth in SummaFlex Pro when setting up fills to do doing embossing? I know how to do it for just cutting, but can’t find it when doing a fill.
