  4. I like crisp edges and I cannot lie, you other signers can't deny...

Can't get it if you don't ask. I just recently sold (2) 18" x 96" single sided signs and (1) 24" x 96" double sided sign, with digitally printed faces and installed for $4,400. +1. I would have done the same, or just painted it and used white hp vinyl.
  5. Mega vector art collection # 1

I lost my book as well. I found a program that is an eps viewer, and I am able to open it, and scroll through the different folders, and select the image I want and drag and drop into corel. I will have to look when I get back to the office to see exactly what program it is.
  6. In need of one off jig fixtures

Ok, I went back and reread your post... I think I have my head wrapped around what you are thinking about doing. You are looking for someone to create a master shape, that you can attach your formed part on, and trim the forming flange away with something like a flush trim bit...
  7. In need of one off jig fixtures

Depending on the finished size, shipping could be an issue. Sounds like you need someone with a CNC router. I would check locally. Also, I've found that DXF files tend to be unreliable. In my experience, curves that are ment to be round tend to make the line segments between nodes...

  12. Software for Summa Plotter?

I design in Corel, and Summa has a "bridge" program that sends it to the plotter. Winplot. It works, but doesn't have a lot as far as features, but there are some work arounds... For example, there is a weed box, but no lines cut lines between the text like in other bridge programs. What I...
  13. Installing Perf In Cold

Razor blade, like the others have said, but I like window cleaner, rather than rapid remover, at least on glass. I did some windows last week, and I grabbed some cheap window cleaner from dollar general (1/2 gallon for $1.98). When I got to the job, I realized that it had ammonia in it. I...

  15. phone solicitor harrassment

I find it disturbing that these people can "spoof" their number to what ever they want it to be. I got a strange one last week. I just came in for lunch, and the phone rings, and normally I don't answer, but the caller id said that it was my wife's name, and our home number, but it was my...
  16. Best way/tool to cut acrylic?

Or, why stress about it...why not just have your distributor cut it to size. I've cut it in the past with a jig saw, but it tends to gum up, depending on the blade used, or a skill saw, and a 10' piece will need a straight edge...
  17. Did anyone notice.........................................

So what is weaselboogies real name? I doubt that anyone would know, considering that most people are using a screen name.
  18. I love my Summa...

This is some lettering that I installed yesterday.... Granted I did weed it on the window, but yes, those letters are 3/16" tall (caps)... So, yes I love my Summa D60.... I did lose the dot above the i, but honestly, that small, it's not that big of a deal....

  20. Work tabletop Surfaces

I built my table with 2x2s and a mdf top. A self healing cutting mat, and it has lasted for years. I'm going to flip it in a couple of weeks, when I shut down for the holidays, and get several more years of use.
