Hot laminate is an entirely different animal for an entirely different process/project. Regular cold laminate is what you need, but use quality materials.
You can run with heat assist on your laminate around 110 degrees and experience better results, but cheap laminates/vinyls are always going...
IJ35c is for 2-3 year projects. 180c is for 5-7 year projects.
What laminates are they pairing with these vinyls????
8509 would be good with the IJ35c and 8519 would be good with the 180c.
Sounds cheap enough. it has to be worth your while to turn your machines on. The training/space/electrical/HVAC doesn't pay for itself, neither does a $5000 slitter.
I can't see how you could produce a reliable machine at that price point, the blades alone are $$$.
I completely agree, this is my process also. Recently I have tried to make all of my layers as placed smart objects and work at 50% scale at low res to speed up the design process. When the art is approved I will change my resolution and scale up to 100% (actual) size and save my flattened TIF.
I would recommend 3M 225 series vinyl and a Gerber sprocket-fed plotter witha new blade. I am not sure that you could get a flourescent film that also has a higher-tack adhesive though. Possibly use a flourescent foil with an Edge first?
What are these going on? Could you print the colors onto...
For high res, you're gonna have to make your own. I ran into this and didn't want the repeating tiles look. FYI, fence boards are easy to come by and photograph well. Post-process in Photoshop into the final desired product.
I am looking for the exact photo used here, I thought I would be able to find the original photo easier, but I can't. Anyone know where to buy it from?
