why even use flexi?...unless its your production manager to send to the machine.....
i use corel all the time, for both design and cut outlines etc. i just send straight to versaworks (production manager) as a pdf and no issues...
and the blue thing is very common...100 cyan and 100 magenta...
versa needs a file to rip from.....so it had to be saved before it ripped and cut.....is it not in versa anymore?..or did you print straight to versa.....?
I always make pdfs and load them into the rip....have a big transfer directory where all the pdfs are stored (and saved job info from...
thought about that too...but id still have to cut them into single sheets off my 54" roll so i could cut em 5 or 6 at a time.....i just figured if i could do it all at oncce as a print / cut, it would be more efficient...
ya these are roughly 8.5 x 11.....so id just run it on the 54" roll of gloss paper stock i have...and wouldnt need registration marks, as it would be a straight print / cut...im not laminating them
.good to know though.....i never even thought of using transfer tape...i wonder if the clear...
so, my client is looking for a certificate in the shape of a heart...and only wants 30 of them...
printing them commercially and getting a die made is out of the question as its way to low a quantity for the cost....
is there any reason anyone can think of why i couldn't just use gloss poster...
cool, only one scathingly bad review of the logo..for this place, i think thats pretty good:)...
and yes, i did notice the clean vs rough difference.....for what i was making on it, i really didnt want to sink more time into A) grunging it up the character or B) weeding and masking the grunge...
you need to use a hi tac vinyl...or for use with low energy plastics...I wrap a lot of Remote control trucks (5th scale) with bodies made with rubbermaid material....normal cast vinyl just pretty much falls off...this sticks like glue....i personally use arlon 8000, and i dont even need primer...
thanks for this...im downloading and trying it out today.....I alway leave the previous version installed, so i can "play" with this, but can still fall back on Dual if i have something urgent......
quick logo i just did up for a customers food trailer.....inspired from a certain well known member on here...
(but before anyone asks, no i didnt copy it from them, the character is actually from shutterstock.)
not for me, i left the old versa in place for a few months just in case..the odd time, versa dual gave me a hassle, i just used the prior version.....but it wasnt very often, and i cant be sure it was actual dual screwing up, versus a file issue....
