Just got mentioned to me today that the S in LOWE'S doesn't match the other lettering. Somehow I'd never noticed....now I'll never be able to un-notice it.
If you do try to fix her sign it's never going to be right and it's always going to be your fault. I'd almost follow John Butto's advice on it only because it will help you avoid a headache later. If you don't talk to her at least once she's gonna bombard you with phone calls for weeks. If...
Our insurance doubled in the last two years. It's through my wife's job, they may be dropping health insurance completely in the next two years. I'm figuring by the time it's all said and done we'll be at $12,000 a year.
No, you can't. EDIT Apparently you can. Megan's Law in Florida doesn't prohibit it. Call the local Sheriff if you have questions...heck, apparently they might even pay for the sign.
Not trying to defend the guy but do you know what he did? I have a customer who is a registered sex...
Plumbers, HVAC guys, and electricians all have to show that they know what they're doing before they can be licensed. Everybody and their brother thinks they're a graphic designer and there's nobody out there to stop them.
Again, I'm not screaming the sky is falling, just that business is...
Dammit, I'm not in the old **** category, yet. And I don't care....if the bottom falls out of the sign business I'm loading up the International Harvester and I'm going to work for Mosh.
So, Signmaniac mentioned the future of the industry in a post earlier and it's had me thinking about where it's come from in 10 years and where it looks like its going. I'd like your thoughts on it, too.
-10 years ago I was getting single orders for 10 or more banners at least once a week...
Banner is being printed in China and bulk shipped to a distribution hub in the US. I've seen prices around 40¢ psf, fully hemmed and grommeted. The two week turnaround isn't because of production, it's because of shipping. Don't be surprised when you see it and discover it's equal quality to...
That's the stuff we used to use on our teak deck furniture. Works awesome but I don't think it's made for painted surfaces. It's more of a waterseal/UV inhibitor for raw wood. I could be wrong though.
While I completely agree that any training is a good thing and constantly learning how to be better is one of the keys to success the "certification" thing has always been curious to me.
Who really cares about an Avery certification? 3M I understand simply because of brand recognition but...
I don't know. A lot of the commercial sign stuff that wins is gorgeous, creative stuff. It's just the vehicle graphics winners that I don't understand.
Of course there's no category for "cheap real estate sign I need in two hours" so it's not really any of my concern.
