Again...just because they "can" find something online doesn't mean they will.
I've done camo wraps at my regular price because
a) they didn't scour the web comparing prices for do it yourself vinyl
b) they wanted it done right by us
c) our patterns were superior to the name brand ones
or d) all...
That was for Vans. It was a reference to the guy that quoted Pate saying it has less distance to travel in the wrong way if started in middle.
(not for trailers)
I don't know about you...but customers pay me to wrap vehicles in camo sometimes. If I can stay busy doing camo wraps and getting paid for it...I'll change the name of my shop to Camowhore if they want. Well not really but...you get my point.
Hmmm...I agree with both sides. There is an increased risk in a possible failure from forward facing seams albeit not quantifiable. There are guys here that haven't had any problems doing forward facing seams and therefore probably don't deserve to be called names for "doing it wrong". There is...
State Farm...and make sure you add a garage keepers policy to it which will cover if anything happens to customers vehicles while they are in your care.
That's odd. So you can let somebody "borrow" your entire gun for as long as you want (if they aren't a felon)...but you can't let someone have it overnight if you are paying them for something? Gotta love nonsense laws.
Yeah, there's that high possibility if someone forgets to tape it up while it's printing (customer comes in or calls, etc) then you have the "OH SHOOT!!!" moment of clarity and visions of crumpled vinyl transferring ink to itself or worse...causing a head strike...with each pass. Your heart...
Seriously folks...we're talking about a few bucks for the main tool of putting on vinyl. Why on Earth would you worry about sharpening them when you can just budget $4 into the cost of a job every now and then to cover the cost.
I think for the new "Solo" they stopped using the softer grey bottom roller...but it may still be the rubber roller twisting on each end around the metal core more than the middle of the rubber roller...my guess.
Do what the rest of these guys say...and get a $5K laminator. TRUST ME.
