So, back to same ol' same ol'. Two "inappropriate contacts" in less then 24 hours. Start of every job has been video recorded now so I've been emailing video links to Grimco and HP.
Good to hear, not everyone is out to take you for whatever they can. Probably also means you will call him first next time.
So when is delivery/installation?
Does kind of depend on the printer, someone get me a service manual for the 5x0 series and I'll let you know. (I was sooooo close to one, yet so far away)
Almost getting, well something.
Had a pickup today of one of the first two printers. Shipping company called last week, had a serial number, verified it again this morning while they were here and we loaded one up. Happened to be the second one that got the wrong firmware installed. Probably an...
Bad luck having every maintenance kit being bad if that's the case. Think it's honestly more the issue with the kit being moved in front of the moving head carriage.

Yeah its hitting the fabric and probably the bar that's under it.
Its a WTH kind of thing. The first printer that we got in that was just replaced actually had a good run of almost two weeks of it not happening, and then the first two days of last week, over half of my print jobs made this...
Don't think we grabbed pics of our last delivery but this is probably what happens to everyone who doesn't either have a forklift or loading dock at their facility.
Out first one was pushed onto our crane truck and then lowered to ground level. The second was shipped on a full size trailer...
Striking the maintenance kit, Grimco tech coming back in tomorrow, not that he can do anything but hopefully we can get it to happen again with him here.

I *bleep* you not, it just happened again. Setup the printer up this morning, did one print while the tech was here (he's still in the area till tomorrow) and several calibrations. Got some files prepped to print this afternoon and went to start the first one and bam, same issue.
So either...
We have the new printer up and working. Went through all the paperwork that wasn't done the first time as well. Now to hammer it and see if everything keeps working like it should.
That's interesting. Not sure if its a printer thing but our L560 tab has an area that shows jobs being ripped and jobs being sent to the printer and you can monitor the progress there for each. In the middle of a job right now and it showing a percentage on our screen for the completion of the...
The issue for the 5x0 is that they only have one LM/LC head. So at high speeds there is a chance of ink starvation in those colors. For me, all of my 8 pass or lower print modes are CMYK only. For the jobs I run at those speeds I have no problem with the output and honestly don't think that the...
So, new printer is in. And we uncrated it per the instructions, basically. Since we have had issues with the stupid metal plate thing HP thinks was great for raising and lowering the printer, we just had two guys lift an end and someone else pull out the block. Example 1 of the stupid metal...
Just read the install guide and be sure your installer follows it, HP wrote it the way it is for a reason. And don't update the firmware before the inks and printheads are installed and be sure it's the right firmware for your printer.
Of course that'll only get you setup. There's a reason we...
Hopefully these updates will be coming to a close soon.
A new printer is being shipped in. Based on the last shipment, I don't expect it until Tuesday or Wednesday. When it arrives, either myself or an HP tech will be setting it up. Fingers crossed that this will finally put this issue to bed...
