  1. News We're Back Online With Our New Design!

It's possible I missed these things but what I see so far. I was one who used the carbon theme, didn't know if theming/color options would be coming eventually. Long term project by all means. Is there a new way to refresh to see new post. Again, with the old site I could just refresh the page...
  2. 4over down...for almost 3 days

Hmm, use them, haven't needed a print in the last few weeks. Trying to log in on the "new" site says my password is bad. They get hacked?
  3. Suggestions New Latex Printer. Either Mimaki or HP

We are in the same boat at the moment. Is it better to spend the extra on the 560 or other equipment in the shop??? Am liking the media loading on the 560.
  4. Need Help Summa S140 T series vinyl tracking

Forgot about that one, I know it scans to check that the rollers are aligned, but there is some wiggle room where it can be off and not catch it.
  5. Need Help Summa S140 T series vinyl tracking

Another question I would have is this colored media or something you are cutting after printing? I see this on ours on some print media, usually when I probably ran it through the printer a little too hot.
  6. Summa OPOS tips

We have been long time, since 1996, Summa users. On our second cutter and have a DC4sx in house as well. For anyone who has owned one, you know what I mean when nothing else will do. The unfortunate thing for us it that we never had a tech/rep in house to show us all of the neat little tricks...
  7. Cheetah wrap & Fellers - Update

Kind of the opposite for us. Fellers is the only place to hardly have a rep come in, and that is even when we were almost exclusively buying from them. Makes me think about the stuff Avery used to(maybe still does) sell. They basically said, avoid going to the expensive sign shop and make your...
  8. A tight fit is good but . . .

The only issue I have had with our L25 was been the extra core hanging out on the right side. Pushes the media too far to the left to use the 54" spot on the spindle but gives us vacuum issues if we use the 60" spot. Most reliable banner for the price that we use though.
  9. DC4sx Color Control Question

From my experience, when you look at two prints from a Summa printer, with one ran through their ColorControl software and the other Flexi, CC just looks better. The way that Flexi rips has never looked as good. Not that it isn't usable, just not as good side by side. It also doesn't help that...
  10. DC4sx Color Control Question

Flexi no, CorelDraw yes. Actually with Flexi it depends on your version, but with as bad of a job as it does, Flexi Production Manager will drive the DS4sx. CorelDraw just exports a file that you can print using ColorControl.
  11. It happened . . .

You know when stroll into the print room to check on your latest creation coming out of the printer. Admiring your work and thinking that's another job well done and then your eyes get drawn to something. One little word, missing one little letter. What follows most likely isn't appropriate to...
  12. Question Help with factory instlall Vinyl Window Pillar

I guess I looked at the whole picture and situation and came away with other questions. He said it came installed from the factory. Is it a thing now for Ford (guessing on the brand here based on the steering wheel) to color the pillars on the doors with vinyl?? That's new to me. But I would...
  13. Wide format laminator to pair with a roland soljet pro4 xr 640

We have one like ProColor mentioned. Been looking at getting another one for mounting/taping duties.
  14. Anybody get something cool for Christmas? Non sign related!?

A lot of it came a bit early, but we did the home automation thing, SmartThings Hub, switches and a pair of Google Homes. Works well with the 2 Chromecasts we already had. Nice having lights come on automatically as we walk through the house, or start the next episode of Hell on Wheels by just...
  15. Need Help Switching from HP Latex 360 to Epson S80600??

It requires a lot of production to qualify for a free warranty extension every year.
  16. 25500 Black dropout

Caught ours starting to showing banding on a recent print while it was still running through the printer. Usually turning on Extra Cleanings helps, which did for us, but its something you have to catch while its printing. Also, is your ink level getting low? I don't 100% rely on that figure the...
  17. how can i get these lights off of trailers?

Does the red lense pop off and then have screws under it? Wouldn't imagine its fastened from inside the trailer.
  18. Curious about something...

On the list of things to do when I setup a device, change the first day of the week to Monday. I do so many events on the weekend that my calendars look a lot cleaner doing it that way. Plus, Monday is the first day of the week.
  19. Windows Surface Studio... Thoughts?

I don't like buying all-in-ones. From what I read, you can't upgrade or change the cpu or ram . Something goes out, the whole system is down and you can't just order a new part from Newegg or Best Buy. Looks nice, but no way am I even considering buying one.
  20. Cut Solution for HP 310

We are long time Summa users here, those things are built like tanks. When we first got into contour cutting it was with a Mimaki cutter that was paired with the JV3, it worked, but the Summa is just better. And I don't know if the Graphtecs offer it, but using the OPOS XY Barcode when doing a...
