  1. Question Public Hearing sign specs that don't compute

If only we knew each other back then!! I would have paid you to tutor him on FaceTime!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Question Public Hearing sign specs that don't compute

This is probably 2nd grade...I think I have PTSD from 5th grade math. I brought the worksheets to work with me and had math people with bachelors degrees try and figure it out, then they tried to teach me. Out of 100 kids in 5th grade, 80 of them required extra help each day. All 4 core teachers...
  3. 4x8 custom printed coroplast sign

I'm not familiar with any classes. I think most people just learn by trial and error. Sorry my question was actually for Bob lol I don't think you will find any in person classes. Most people either learn on the job or in my case and a few other "one-man shops" we watched YouTube and came on...
  4. 4x8 custom printed coroplast sign

Do you liquid laminate or don't laminate at all? I'm not familiar with the solvent printer needs.
  5. Race Car Wrap Printing?

Yes, die cut on top of the wrap is what most people do around these parts. If you want to laminate after you can do a liquid laminate such as ClearShield or you can get yourself a cheap Chinese 54" laminator for a couple hundred bucks (like I have) and laminate after with actual laminate.
  6. 4x8 custom printed coroplast sign

Buy the Big Squeegee, watch a you tube video and do it yourself. I use the BS all the time and it works great. It's a small investment for 3 times a year and it doesn't take up any space. This is not me but this is what I probably look like trying to do it. I use a bungee cord to hold the roll...
  7. Suggestions Need 100 Beer Koozies printed

I usually don't bother doing these in-house I send them out to 24hourwristbands
  8. Question Public Hearing sign specs that don't compute

Kinda a waste of time for that person to go through all the trouble of fake measuring the letters on a sign that isn't to scale to begin with. I'm pretty sure you aren't an idiot and are not going to make the word "for" the most prominent word on the sign. $25 this yahoo won't know how to use...
  9. Question Public Hearing sign specs that don't compute

Do NOT get me started on 5th grade math common core SH*T :banghead:
  10. Question Bubbles in vinyl?

Is this applied to something or just the vinyl on the backerpaper?
  11. Hello, New here. Just getting into large format printing.

Hi Justin! I like your logo ! I'm no printer expert, others will chime in. A few things you might want to tell us is what kind of signs will you be doing and what size? Sounds like a lot of construction type signs? If your friend has skytracks and lifts then you might end up doing some larger...
  12. Question Bubbles in vinyl?

I'm confused, can you post a pic? Fresh off the press...like it's printed vinyl and it's bubbling on the carrier paper? Or is it like Johnny says...transfer paper and vinyl bubbled?
  13. banners

Yes, I do like to check for quality but in this case the banner was 12' x 53' and I don't have the room to unroll it so I should have really sent it directly there. I was concerned about the blue printing correctly and I could see it did...thankfully LOL I talked to the guy on the phone and...
  14. Question Bubbles in vinyl?

What Geneva said...most will resolve themselves in the sun. Unless they popped up AFTER you installed the vinyl? The vinyl is breathable - so to speak - so the air will go away with the heat of the sun or if wet applied the moisture will evaporate sucking down the vinyl. A lot of times if I get...
  15. Educating clients in what is and isn't high quality artwork.

It very much does depend on the project. I'm in a small town, there's lots of farmers and small businesses, much more "hicksville" than where I grew up. A lot of the people I deal with can barely send an email and don't text. There is zero sense in trying to explain what vector art is. And their...
  16. banners

FYI - my banner came via FedEx Semi and it weighed 75# and I had to help the guy carry it from across the street, which was not much fun. Might be better off sending it directly to the customer next time LOL Thankfully the customer is good and they will come and pick it up. Live and learn!
  17. Educating clients in what is and isn't high quality artwork.

Ha Ha!!! It's on there now, just for you!
  18. Material Shortage?

We think alike! [emoji23] plus when you don’t feel like spending an hour looking for a yard of vinyl it’s a good excuse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Educating clients in what is and isn't high quality artwork.

Here's a screenshot from someone's phone from a few minutes ago. I should blow this up for a 2'x4' banner and remove the watermark. NOT. Boudica ...here's your screenshot, she literally sent me this as a screenshot from her messages, didn't even bother to save the photo and send it. I cropped...
  20. Does anyone else hate online reviews?

My favorite reviews on my page...took me a year to figure out who Creepy Old Man was LOL. Some of you helped with my response to the bottom one
