It's one thing to cut around a few rivets but if you have to cut around 10's of them...that's going to take forever and suck. Would it make more sense to install an aluminum panel over the top and letter that instead? Or just avoid the rivets as much as you can.

I usually tell people to let them lay out flat for a while before installing.
